First let me say that this is a beautifully appointed restaurant/hotel. We were excited to try out the restaurant on an early evening during the "Light Up Skippack" night. I think we arrived around 5pm. So we were greeted by the hostess who was not the most-est, to say the least. We had to ask her where to go, sit, etc. as we had not visited before. #uncomfortable. We were told that we could go in the bar area (upstairs) and sit wherever. Okay. So, we walked in and went to sit down and were immediately told that we couldn't sit in the empty seats because the owner had saved them for his friends. :( We were not given any other options, so we just kind of wandered around trying to figure out where else we could sit. Eventually we found the downstairs bar where the service was MUCH BETTER. My husband was already irritated (okay p.o'd) about the upstairs service, so we were happy to find much more accommodating service downstairs. We just sat at the bar. Our bartenders were very, very nice. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and had the crab cake sliders and the cheese plate. Really enjoyed the cheese plate, for sure.
I don't know if we'd go back or not. Very mixed feeling about the place.
