It was a warm day. Wished the water fountain had been colder. Reallly enjoyed the plants and appreciated that most of them had little signs with names. There was a great variety.

This place is magical! Perfect for families. Kids love to explore and parents enjoy it also. It was summer when we went there with our first grandchild. It was a very enjoyable time. (They don’t give a choice for the date that we visited.)

Went to see the pumpkins during family weekend. My son, a freshmen, had never been to this part of campus. He thought it was cool and maybe a place to go for something different.

It’s a great place for anyone, but it’s a perfect place for kids. Since moving to state college in June, I’ve been bringing my two year old there weekly. They have a number of great programs there each week (bird watching, painting, etc) or just areas to walk around. He loves playing music there, watering vegetables and just exploring.

Nice, quick side trip while visiting Penn State. A very relaxing, beautiful spot. Saw some students studying and couples walking. Enjoyed the Children's garden quite a bit!

If you're into gardens, this is the place to go when you're in State College. ?Not everything is labeled, unfortunately, but nonetheless it's a beautiful spot. The view from the main building, back to the north of campus, is lovely,

Visiting family and friends in the State College area they took us to see the Arboretum on the Penn State campus. It's not very large, but quite lovely. The flowers in the arboretum are quite nice and the central fountain is incredibly lovely. A nice walk with great grounds. A must see for all ages.

The Arboretum at Penn State is a treasure to visit. It is in a beautiful setting and is quiet. The design and plantings are wonderfully arranged and have a varied setting including water features. A children's garden is a plus for visiting families. It is in close proximity to Beaver Stadium Bryce Jordan Center and other well kept sport facilities. A beautiful place to visit!

My wife took our two boys here and they never even made it out of the Children's garden. The kids had so much fun watering crops, exploring the limestone cave, and playing on the stations. They were there for two hours and had to be dragged away. :) If you have kids the children's garden is agreat place to visit while in State College.
