Review of The Morning Toast

The Morning Toast
Ranked #7 of 45 Restaurants in Tannersville
Price range: US$5 - US$15
Description: A brewery for breakfast? You bet your barley! The Morning Toast is brought to you by the folks at Barley Creek Brewing Co & Distillery. So you know it's going to be special. We wanted to craft a breakfast that went beyond the typical. With farm-fresh ingredients, freshly-squeezed juices and smoothies, morning cocktails, and an exceptional menu of incredible food, you can kick the day off right.

Let's get this out the way - the breakfast at The Morning Toast is POPPIN'! Biscuits and gravy - YES. Pancakes with *real* maple syrup - YES. Only meh moment for me was the meatloaf, which was a disappointment considering how much it was hyped up. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely visit again!

Glad you had a good couple of visits to the Morning Toast. Slow Smoked meatloaf is one of those items - like BBQ, people definitely are happy to debate. Kansas City vs North Carolina? We're always tweaking recipes and techniques so the next menu it might be a bit different. Cheers. Trip

I'd say skip this place and head to the Scotrun diner instead. Service was slow but the worst part was the actual food. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and the chocolate chips were on top of the pancakes not mixed in. Very odd!

My 2 year old son had the the kid eggs and got them scrambled. It looked like a thin piece of paper not fluffy or appetizing at all.

Based on the breakfast experience we decided not to come back for dinner.

Yeah that was a challenging day. TMI for this platform. Suffice to say - That is not what was supposed to have happened and "the right person" was not where they should have been - so what you got was indeed Odd. I'm Sorry about that - Same thing happened with the eggs - wrong person, in the wrong place not doing it right. Your server - or the manager- should have been there to be my next line of defense to make things better - but - alas didn't happen. Let me know if you are back in the area, I'd like a second chance to make a first impression. Thanks for letting me know. Trip Ruvane

Went on a Saturday morning and were seated promptly. Wasn't busy and it took a little time for a server to come by. Wife had a latte and I had a coffee. Both were good. Menu had a good selection. In my opinion, just enough so you don't get lost making a selection. I love eggs benedict so gave their classic with home fries a try. Wife had the breakfast crepe. Nice portions and both were good, but nothing to stand out above some others in the area. The home fries were good, but came out lukewarm. They offered to reheat them but I declined since I kind of lose my appetite when something is supposed to be hot and isn't. Prices were reasonable for the area. Will probably go again.

Visited twice in one day, Morning Toast for Breakfast and Barley Creek Brewery/Restaurant for Dinner (same place opposite entrance), Running from Camelback restaurant prices ended up having one of the best breakfast experiences ever! Amazing tasty Hash with onions peppers, ham and other spices, farm fresh eggs and pancakes the size of dinner plates! Services large enough for 2 adults to share, Bacon and large link sausages were cooked perfectly. Coffee was American style, but they do serve single or double shot latte's that were pretty good. Will be our "Go To" spot when in the area.

Been to quite a few places around this area but this one stood out in terms of both taste as well variety of breakfast items

We ordered the following

Breakfast Crepe - Excellent

Chicken and Waffles - Excellent

The Classic Benedict - Excellent

Each of the items were so delicious and filling, it was total value for your money.

It also has a brewery attached where they make in house some of the finest beer/wine

What a delightful combo - Breakfast + Brewery

Check out the pics to see how the dishes looked
