We had dinner on a Friday night. No wait. Atmosphere fun and casual. Lots of seafood choices with reasonable prices. Wait staff friendly and helpful. Food was pretty good. Pass on the salad bar - not much to rave about. But do have a mango mojito - super yummy!

We went for crab bowl night, a splurge. It was great when it finally arrived. The waiter said a glitch had caused our order to not be submitted. The long wait spoiled the evening.

Really? Fresh seafood in the Poconos? You’re better off going to Wegmans or shop right for fresh fish and cook it yourself. Overpriced and food not impressive at all. Don’t waste your money seriously cook home

Smuggler’s is not anywhere near as good as it used to be. We haven’t visited for a few months and tonight made us decide not to come again. The service was awful. Everything was forgotten; we waiting 20 min for dinner after our appetizers. The salad bar used to be one of our favorite things. The lettuce was empty - we had to track down a server to ask for more - no croutons and a lot of empty or low containers. It just seemed like no one was paying attention to anything. The restaurant was busy, but not crazy. Our food was poorly prepared all around. The only thing that was well-prepared and tasty were the Oysters Rockefeller - everything else was poor - including items as simple as fried shrimp and a cheeseburger. Maybe it was the chef’s night off, but overall, we decided there are better places in the area to go to and we will not return.

My family choose the restaurant based on areferral from our resort and the restaurants self designated title as the best seafood in the Poconos. I was anxious for a great seafood dining experience ... due in part, to our proximity to the areas notable fishing. Needless to say, the experience was underwhelming. The food was ok, the decor old and the service slow. I can see it being a fave for locals, but as a tourist visiting the area, I thought it was average. We probably would have had the same or better experience going to Red Lobster instead.
