We initially booked a night there for early June. We attempted to add a 2nd night, but could never get anyone by phone or email after numerous attempts. In lieu of smoke signals, pony express, or telegraph (assumed best method to reach this "hotel"), we decided to cancel altogether as not one person would return a phone call or email. We assumed the customer service would be the same or worse if we stepped foot on this "hospitality" property. We notified this "hotel" that we would not accept any charges as they never returned their phone call or emails. We notified our credit card Company and they still tried to charge us (after their abysmal service and lack of follow up). If you want a hotel which has customer service, does the right thing and makes right on their mistakes, this isn't your place. Stay away from Whitewing Farm in West Chester PA. NOTE: THIS REVIEW DID NOT ALLOW US TO MARK FOR FUTURE TRAVEL SO WE WERE FORCED TO NOTE WE TRAVELED IN MAY. WE DID NOT TRAVEL IN MAY, INTENDED TO TRAVEL IN JUNE BUT DIDN'T GO THERE BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF SERVICE NOTED ABOVE.

We stayed at Whitewing Farm for my husbands birthday. Having found this place online, I wasn't sure what to expect. I am extremely picky about where I stay and always try to do as much research as I can before booking. Well, lets just say we were in for a pleasant surprise. This B&B has got to be the most beautiful by far. The grounds are spectauclar, our large room (The English Garden) was decorated tastefully, it was beyond clean, and very cozy. The owners are very friendly, and our breakfast was delish! As a surprise for my husband, I asked Lance (at the very last minute) if he could get a cake and some balloons in our room when we arrived. Lucky for me he came through! Our stay at the Whitewing Farm was great and I would definitely recommend this inn if you are visiting the Brandywine Valley in the near future.

Our trip was in late April/early May. We found the Inn to be a beautiful property and the owners to be kind and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, on time and very plentiful. One morning we had a fruit and yogurt parfait, muffin, and French toast souffle, all fresh and beautifully presented. We stayed in the Pond rooms and found the rooms to be clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. The Inn is very near Longwood Gardens, and near many nice restaurants and attractions, yet it is off the beaten path enough to be private and quiet. All in all a lovely visit.

We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2012 and found it to be wonderful. It is located very centrally to the area's attractions, with Longwood Gardens just around the corner. The grounds are spacious , lovely, and most relaxing. We stayed in the Clydesdale suite which was also spacious, beautifully decorated, with a reading area, gas fireplace, and a very comfortable bed!!! It has it's own entrance and is one of 2 suites in this particular building. Breakfasts were scrumptious and cooked by Lance and his wife, who are also the owners. We saw how accomodating they were to various dietary needs of the different guests and they are more than willing to give advise on various area attractions and travel routes. They were most adept at sensing which guests wanted to interact with them and which wanted to keep more to themselves. I am happy to highly recommend the Inn at Whitewing Farm B&B. Karla

My husband and I planned a trip to the Brandywine Valley for my birthday and we found the Whitewing Farm online. When I called to make a reservation, Lance was both helpful and enthusiastic. We were met on our arrival by Lance and Sandy and were shown a beautiful room, very clean and bright. Breakfast each morning was delicious and beautifully presented. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. Lance and Sandy could not be better hosts. They made us feel right at home. The location was ideal, around the corner from Longwood Gardens, and about halfway between Kennett Square and West Chester. We would highly recommend this inn for a short or extended stay.

We stayed at the Inn in January for our anniversary. Lance greeted us Friday night, even calling us while we were on our way to make sure we weren't lost and to offer help! We stayed in the largest suite and it was amazing! Great bed, great reading chairs, lovely fireplace. The room was exactly as it is pictured on-line! Beautiful!
More importantly, Lance and Sandy are warm and caring people. They did everything possible to make our weekend special! For example, when Lance found out I loved pumpkin, we even got pumpkin waffles for breakfast! So thoughtful and personal! All of the food was amazing!
The room was spotless and the grounds were gorgeous. The location is immediate to Longwood Gardens, which we love!
We cant wait to get back to this inn in the spring and have recommended it to all of our friends! This is a real gem!

Room Tip: The largest suite was amazing!

They really did not go out of thier way to make it special. The rooms are not as they seem on the web page and they nickle and dime you. They say one price and when you get the bill its another price. Room was very small and not so clean, in fact they never even cleaned our room. We went out one day and when we got back at night the room was still dirty. Breakfast was ok, but very sweet food and not much variety. I would not go back!
