Excellent pizza (incl. a white pizza!) and pasta dinners. Friendly owners. Restaurant is clean and has several parking spaces out front. You can also do carry out.

Very disappointed tonight! Vincenzo's on S. George Street just lost our business! After ordering, they brought out everyone's order, but my daughter's. 45 minutes later, after everyone else finished eating, we asked about her order for the 4th time. The man told me, "next time you come, you can make your stromboli, while I make 144 pizzas." There will not be a next time. I do not appreciate his attitude! And it was so greasy! Not a good experience!

Vinzenzo's is a recently opened restaurant located just to the south of York in the Leader's Height area. Family owned and operated, the restaurant is named in honor of their son who died at an early age. The family atmosphere and the family's dedication to honoring their son shows. The conversion has been nicely done. Tables and chairs are very comfortable and nicely arranged so that if you care to dine in, you're not sitting right next to another diner. The staff is pleasant and polite. And of course there is the food. The menu consists of what one would typically find at an Italian restaurant, with a broad selection of appetizers, salads, pizzas, strombolis, wraps, subs (cold, hot, parmigiana, burger, and oven toasted!), and dinner!

The restaurant is conveniently located on S. George St and is only a minute from Exit 14 of I-83 (Leader Heights).

We visited on an early Friday June evening on our way back from Baltimore to our home on the north side of town. We called in our order as we crossed the MD line coming into PA. And by the time we got there, our pizza was just coming out of the oven. Being thin crust fans, we ordered their large Sicilian Special - a whopper of a pie loaded with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, bacon, red onion, green pepper, black olives, and mushrooms. The day was hot, so we had the car windows closed and the AC on. It only took a few seconds for the wonderful odor of the pizza to fill the car. We opened the lid and took a peak inside before pulling out of the parking lot and our eyes bulged out! It was loaded. Well it was all we could do to not eat a slice right then. But we somehow resisted until we got home.

It was delicious! All ingredients were high quality, the crust was perfect, and for a pizza loaded with as much meat as it was, it wasn't greasy. Normally we could put away a large pizza except for maybe one or two slices. Not this one. There was enough left over for Saturday's dinner.

If you live on the south part of York, you definitely owe it to yourself to visit Vincenzo's. And for those that don't live nearby, it's worth the drive!
