“22nd Anniversary”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2011

My wife and I just spent our 22nd Anniversary at the Cuthbert House Inn and we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed a total of 4 nights, with 3 of the nights in the Victorian room and the last one in the downstairs Oceanview room. Jeff and Mary, (The Owners) were very accommodating and considerate of all our needs. The rooms were clean and well kept considering they dated back to the late 1800's. The morning breakfast was well prepared and not slapped together. We enjoyed a nice three course breakfast with very nice tea in the breakfast room with a beautiful view of the bay.
We will definitely be back for our next get-away.

Room Tip: Try to stay for the social hour with Wine and finger foods between 5 and 6pm.

Six of us stayed at the Cuthbert House Inn for a weekend getaway for some photography. The Inn and its owners are both wonderful. It's hard to add to previous reviews except to confirm. While it's an 18th century house converted to an inn, it is in immaculate condition, clean and welcoming. It is also very convenient to downtown Beaufort. This weekend was full of exiting activities on the street and on the water. We were able to easily walk to all of them and to restaurants while leaving our car parked in their lot.

Room Tip: It is as stated an old house. The first floor is up stairs, as you will see from pictures. There i...

We didn't ever want to leave this lovely experience. The new suite is actually a three-room apartment with so much space, kitchen facilities, the biggest best shower ever and sunset views over the Intracoastal Waterway. It's totally private, although located in the historic bed and breakfast which delivers Southern hospitality and fresh breakfast daily. Restaurants, shops, galleries and entertainment are a short walk away in the friendly little town, and business meetings can become an extended vacation with a stay such as this.

Room Tip: Choose the Coastal for the most space and best view.

My husband and I booked a room at this B&B with the thought of getting rest and relaxation and did we ever. The house is so quiet we actually did not see any of the other guest there the entire stay and only saw the owners at Breakfast......which was delicious. The only reason for not giving it five stars was the size of the shower. My husband and I laughed and called it a coffin shower......I am 4'10" and struggled to move around to wash my hair. My husband who is 6'3" had an even more difficult time. But what southern lady can't shave her legs standing like a crane....ha ha. Next time we stay we will definately get a room with a larger tub or shower. Otherwise I trip was fabulous. We were in the Victorian room which was beautiful minus the shower!

Room Tip: If you stay on the front side of the home you have a beautiful view of the bay but if you stay on th...

I stayed here in 2001 and again in 2006. This place is so pretty. Both times we stayed in the ballroom. We got engaged here and it was the perfect place and room. We stay at b&bs whenever we can and this one is our favorite. Breakfast was wonderful too.

Room Tip: The Ballroom is so pretty and a great view

This is an excellent B&B run by a delightful couple. It is a great value for the money and is walking distance to a quaint downtown with shops and restaurants. I would stay here again without a doubt!!

Beautiful old home with great views of the river. Sitting on the front porch, drinking wine with the other guests and watching the sunset over the river were the high points of the recent trip my wife an I took. Proprietors are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The room was amazing. Downtown area is a 5-minute walk.

We also visited Charleston and Savannah and, of course, Beaufort has less to do, but staying at the Inn was relaxing and fun. We loved it.
