We booked our hotel over the Internet, sight unseen. When we arrived we found it even better than expected. Everyone on the staff was professional & welcoming. Our room was exceptionally clean, and finished in period motif. The hotel's location is excellent. The traditional Charleston carriage rides all start within a block of the hotel. There is a wide range of restaurants within three blocks, all serving excellent fare. We enjoyed our stay so much that we plan to go back for another trip.

Stayed there two nights. Our room was in the larger building under renovation...right outside our window., noise during the day. It is at busy corner and background noise is significant. Charming in location and description but not very comfortable.
Evening wine tasting though appreciated was "watched" over standing next to the wine bar by a matron....why???

We appreciate your honest feedback as a valued guest. There is unfortunately never a" good time" for renovations but the enhancements of the Rooftop with its conversion to a Solarium will greatly enhance the guest experience in the future. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future.

This was in walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Charleston. Pretty exterior, rooms were OK. The breakfast and wine and cheese was included and that was a nice touch. They were doing construction on the rooftop and when I asked for a discount (it wasn't offered), they gladly gave me about half the price. That was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely recommend staying there.

We are delighted to know that you enjoyed your recent stay with us even though there was some renovations at the time to our Rooftop Terrace as we convert that space into a Solarium. It will provide our guest with a much more enjoyable experience as it will be climatized from the extreme heat and cold but yet maintain the wonderful views of the historic district and harbor. Please do keep us in mind when planning a future Charleston Getaway.

When we reserved the hotel we didn’t realize they were doing renovations but that didn’t affect in the least. A charming hotel with great service. The room was comfortable and big!!! I would happily stay there again. Close to restaurants and attractions!!!

Love this place because it's just a little hidden. Not everybody will be walking by and gawking, like they will on the main streets. It's small so the staff can answer questions and pay attention to you. Rooms have some variety so it's good for family or girls' getaway. A really charming small hotel!
