We read many positive reviews about the Mansion and were not for a moment disappointed! The property was gorgeous, the room was large and excellently furnished, and the staff was very helpful. We felt truly spoiled! And having a fabulous restaurant on-site was an added bonus. After walking our feet off during the day, it was wonderful to relax and dine in a beautiful setting just across the property. We would go back in a minute!

Room Tip: Room 20 was beautiful, with a jucuzzi tub looking out over the city. And a winding staircase just outside the door leads to a 360 degree view from the roof!

I was visiting Charleston for the first time and wanted to stay in an area and a hotel that had history and charm. Wentworth Mansion exceeded my expectations. The staff provided personal and excellent service. The rooms were extremely comfortable with gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub and very comfortable beds. A great breakfast was provided each morning in their restaurant. Although I did not get a spa service I did tour the spa and thought it looked like a very relaxing environment. Wentworth Mansion was also very close to the main area of downtown Charleston so it was accessible by walking.

My husband and I stayed at the Wentworth Mansion to celebrate our 25th anniversary. After checking in, we received a tour of the mansion, complete with a glass of wine - and then shown to our room. It was just lovely, with a gas fireplace and large whirlpool tub. The next morning we enjoyed a yummy breakfast, which was included. The staff was accommodating and welcoming. The hotel provides many little complementary amenities and each one was such a pleasant surprise.
We will definitely return - and it won't be another 25 years!! :-)

I have paid more and gotten less at some resorts. I have gotten a 'deal' only to be nickel and dimed to death at others. The Wentworth Mansion is the perfect combination of service and comfort. Once you park the car, the staff takes care to get you acquainted with the mansion and everything around. Whether it's restaraunt suggestions/reservations, tours of the area or even questions about the history of the house they are readily available but also let you relax and enjoy. Our room was huge and had a working fireplace with great views of the grounds and church steeples. The fridge had water and sodas to take with us on our excursions. Breakfast was coffee, fresh Danishes and croissants. In the early afternoon, there was iced tea and fresh lemonade. Early evening, wine and cheese. Then off we went for an easy stroll to unbelievable food night after night at the numerous restaraunts nearby.

It is very small, personal and high quality. One of the best in town and the staff was attentive. I loved the amenities in the room. A great breakfast was included.
