We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at King George last weekend. Most website photos use a wide angle lens in order to make the rooms look larger. Not necessary here, the rooms are huge compared to other B & Bs. Great breakfast, great hosts, and the location can't be beat midway between the two main drags in Charleston: King Street and Meeting Street. Easy on-site parking was also a great perk.

We just completed a four-day stay at this quaint little B&B and had a great time at a good price. The location is on a quiet cross street, with free city trolley lines to and from downtown just a few steps away. It's also within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and more and at the end of the day, you can come back and relax in a comfortable chair on one of the porches.
Our room was comfortable and quiet, breakfasts were tasty, and our friendly hosts, Terry, Deb and especially Charlene were only out-hosted by Queen Victoria the Cat.
Definitely on our return list!

I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. My friend and I got into Charleston really early in the morning and although the lovely innkeepers were not informed of our early arrival, Debra woke up and let us drop our bags without a complaint and only the sweetest disposition. Debra and Terry were nothing but kind and helpful for our entire stay. The rooms are spotless, the beds comfortable, and the building GORGEOUS. My friends and I were taking a cruise from Charleston and stayed at the King George before it left. When we came back, we had a few hours between our arrival at the port and our flight. We didn't want to lug our bags around all day, so Terry and Debra let us keep our bags there all day, despite no longer being guests. I wish I could describe all the reasons this stay was wonderful, but you'll just have to see for yourself! The only thing that wasn't 100% perfect was that they put us in a more expensive room than what we had initially booked, but we didn't complain because the room was so beautiful. I'm sure that if we had said something to them, they would have moved us easily.

We had a great 3 day stay and recommend this B&B highly. We stayed in room 4 on the second floor. Very nicely decorated and it had the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in! This room is a suite with a living room and private balcony. The inn is centrally located and we could easily explore the historic district without ever moving our car. Breakfast was tasty and the rooms were immaculate. Owners were away but left the inn in good hands with manager Charlene in charge. She is super friendly and very knowledgeable. She gave us great tips on where to eat and what to see, and sometimes more important, what to avoid. A great vacation choice!

Terry was a very pleasant host, full of recommendations and a delight to talk to. We stayed in room #4 which had an adjoining suite, nice to have the extra space. The bed was comfortable, noise level was a non issue, we even had a balcony to enjoy our coffee. Parking was plentiful and I can't overstate how good the location is -- right in the middle of everything of interest.

My only complaints are that the wifi was a little spotty, and that the breakfast dining room got pretty crowded during the morning rush...

We spent 2 nights at this B&B and would do so again. It is a lovely old building with wonderful verandahs to enjoy on hot summer days. Our room was on the third floor (there is no elevator) but was spacious, nicely decorated and quiet. However, it did not have an ensuite and so we had to share a (very small) bathroom with the other guest room on the floor. The location is excellent for exploring historic Charleston and close to good shopping on King Street. Off-street parking is available at the rear of the building. Charlene gave us a wonderful warm welcome when we arrived, and a hug when we left. She also provided excellent advice on where to eat and how best to get around the city.

My friend and I were going on a cruise leaving out of Charleston, and wanted to see the city a bit so we decided to come down early. We stayed at King George IV and had the BEST TIME. The inn itself is beautiful! Extremely well decorated and clean. It is located in the middle of the historic district of Charleston, and is a short walk from every place you may want to go. If that isn't enough to convince you, the Innkeepers are amazing. They are both super sweet and personable. After the cruise docked, we had an extra day in Charleston before we headed back to NYC and they allowed us and 4 of our friends to keep our luggage there all day!!! I have been to a lot of b&bs and really is one of the best!
