We chose this hotel because of the shuttle service. We wish it ran all day! It was still nice to have it at night so you could go downtown without having to worry about finding parking. The hotel itself was quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and Karen did a great job with it. She was friendly and had a great smile on her face to greet you in the morning! Thank you and we'll see you guys again.

This hotel is perfectly located if you are planning on taking a cruise out of the Charleston Port. It is located only 3 miles from the port. It is a very clean hotel, with great staff, and there are great places to eat nearby!

We took an Uber from the airport to the hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by Margaret (I think). We were on the third floor and asked about the 4th floor or a room that faced the city. She didn't even check and said they didn't have any rooms. I am not a top level Reward member, but we weren't even acknowledged as being a member. We didn't feel too good about our selection, but then about an hour later we called and talked to Lauren. She could not have been more of an opposite. She was warm and friendly. Answered all the questions we had. We interacted with her a couple more times and she was always great. The hotel has snacks in the afternoon, but the second night the delivery didn't show up so it was cancelled. The breakfast was good and had a nice assortment. Normally I am not a grits fan, but have to say they did a good job with them. The one drawback is there is only one restaurant near and it is a pretty good walk. I recently had knee surgery so it was too far to walk. The hotel did have a list of restaurants that deliver so we called them. In spite of our original impression it was a nice stay.

Visiting from England
Grubby dated room , bed smelt & felt damp. air con unit grille filthy, windows (inside & out) dirty and the added bonus of someone else's hair all over the tea towel & phone. This room was reminiscent of a budget motel. If I'd perversely wanted that experience I'd have sought one out & paid $30!
Returned in the evening to find both door cards deactivated. Sorted out by a disinterested male receptionist. My experience was one of a general lack of care in the place so I can only assume other positive comments reflected a better stay than mine.
Free shuttle bus efficient & convenient.
I had changed my hotel preference to Springfield Suites due to great experiences of others in the US. If this had been the first though, it would have been very different. Suggest Marriott group take a long hard look at this place.

Room Tip: Find another hotel !

Dear Petebbc,

Thank you for taking the time to describe your stay in our hotel. Your feedback is invaluable and gives us the opportunity to address areas where we can improve. We are sorry for items overlooked in the preparation of your suite, and your feedback has been shared with our team. Dampness can be a challenge at times with our prime location on the water, and we are exploring ways to mitigate this as soon as possible. Our team is committed to providing friendly service and true Southern hospitality, so we truly apologize if your experience was anything other than excellent. It was our pleasure serving you, and we do hope you will choose us again should you have the opportunity to do so.
