We are crossing the country and decided to stop by Charleston. We were somewhat limited in lodging options because we were traveling with our 2 dogs. We decided to stay at The Renaissance and we were happy with our choice. As you would expect with any hotel in the area, the rooms are not very large and the overall rate (including the pet fee) is not cheap, but the rooms are very clean with modern furniture, the overall décor and atmosphere of the lobby etc. were very pleasant and the staff is very friendly, especially Jay C. He was very helpful and super fun. He took care of us from the beginning till the end and always with a smile. Thanks Jay C.

We are just leaving from a 3 night stay at the Renaissance. We were celebrating our ten year wedding anniversary. The hotel was in a great location - within walking distance to everything. Every interaction we had with a staff member was very pleasant. Shout out to Ericka and Jay C for great recommendations. There was even a bottle of champagne waiting for us when we got to our room. We are sad to leave and will definitely be back.

We are loyal Marriott Bonvoy members, so picking a Marriott property was the only properties we would consider. It was out first time visiting Charleston and We researched and found the Renaissance Charleston Historic District to be the perfect location. When we arrived we were meet by a pleasant, friendly front desk team and staff. They read my request because upon check in they recited everything to me that I had requested. Also they upgraded us to a suit on the 5th floor corner room, and it was ready when we arrived. I read some reviews of people saying the hotel didn’t care about Bonvoy status or that they don’t read the request from the Bonvay App, simply not true in my experience. This hotel is in a perfect location within walking distance to resturants and attractions. Bring comfortable shoes and explore this beautiful city from this perfectly located hotel. When we return it will be right back here at the Renaissance Charleston Historic District.
