A lovely wedding weekend experience. Staff went out of their way to make everything work and to make guests feel welcomed and at home. Every need was met. Most rooms (maybe all?) had views of the Waccamaw River, a low-country, black-water swamp river. My room (Conservatory Room) was on third floor, lovely water views in two directions. Well appointed and totally comfortable.
Breakfasts were made to order and, again, staff did everything to meet individual needs.
Seems to be a great spot for a group gathering, a weekend getaway, or, ideally, a very different haven when on a business trip within the Conway-Myrtle Beach-Coastal Carolina area.

Room tip: As far as I can tell, ALL rooms were good--nice views, quiet, good amenities, well-appointed

The B&B was on the Select Registry and the description was of a true five star experience. Regrettably it was far from five stars from our personal experience.

1. Welcome at check-in. Stern and totally without interest or feeling. Unusual for B&B's.
2. One of their most expensive King Sized room with jacouzzi on second floor - frayed blinds, broken desk chair, little to no lighting, loose toilet, wobbling fawcet, bathroom door that would not close. Super Tiny TV at almost floor level inside short armoire.View over carpark.
3. 1st floor guest area - pleasant furnishing but where main large TV is sited it was occupied by the two owners for the entire PM drinking and watching sports.
4. Breakfast - this was talked up enormously.on the establishment site. It was disappointing in reality and our whole table agreed. bad/slow service, long wait time, little to no choice, ordinary ingredients (ie Nitrate filled bacon, orv would you like grits or grits), no jam, tiny coffee cups that were not refilled as no-one asked.

For over $250 per night - absolutely overpriced and not worth it.

Room tip: Go somewhere else

My husband and I spent two nights at the inn in mid December. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The inn is right next to a really nice park that was decorated with Christmas lights. We would definitely stay here again.

This is such a quaint and cozy place! It opens up to the riverwalk and is a nice little stroll. The owners were very friendly and helpful. On the third floor each room is named after an Agatha Christie character and in our room, there were plenty of her books to peruse! Our room offered a full size bed but it was ok. There was a jacuzzi in the bathroom so that was a plus! I did enjoy studying (this was a business trip of sort) at the old desk that was in the room. Very nice! Unfortunately, we did not get to experience everything b/c we were only there for one night - but it was just what we needed.

Room tip: we stayed in Miss Marple's room.... very quiet!

Visited 13 months ago and very much enjoyed our short stay. Good room, great amenities, delicious breakfast, very interesting people. Stayed again this year and everything the same. Owners very pleasant and the fridge has wine and beer free for guests. Plan on staying again next year when we vacation in Myrtle Beach.

Room tip: Kingston room is where we stayed both years. Third floor, but we don't care. AC fine.
