Description: The Lazy Goat is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant with a menu featuring global influences from Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Greece, Africa and the Middle East and a relaxed atmosphere where taking the time to "linger and share" is encouraged. The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes. Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of that and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like".

We had guests coming to town so we decided to go to The Lazy Goat because of the good food and great location. Matthew B was our server and he was very nice. We wound up having 4 different small plates Octopus, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Toasted Garlic Shrimp all very good and the Patatas Bravas which were OK. After that, we had the Duck, Duck, Goat Pizza which we love and it was excellent. We enjoy Lazy Goat very much.

We went here for dinner. The restaurant is in Riverplace .Has nice outside area for dining, weather permitting. The service was good. The inside atmosphere is ok. We ordered 2 appetizers- brussel sprouts and the short ribs. Both were good. The short ribs had fat that should have been trimmed but the flavor was very good. Price for 2 glasses of wine and the 2 appetizers with tax and tip was 60-70 so not exactly inexpensive. It was average for the price.

I really hate writing negative reviews & not sure where to start. Perhaps by saying Downtown Greenville has AMAZING restaurants and this isn’t one of them. The food overall wasn’t bad ~ if you like lukewarm. The atmosphere inside is dated, loud, zero ambience ~ sad since the location is fabulous. The service is horrid. Never got service at the bar (not crowded). Once seated, took 20 min + to get waited on. Waiter very lackadaisical in taking our orders (party of 6), brought out wrong wine; we had to go to bar to get drinks; never checked on us; restaurant very dirty; help was vacuuming next to us as we ate dinner (9pm).......I could go on and on. Waiter never brought bills so we had to go back to the bar to pay. Manager seemed less than apologetic. Other great restaurants in downtown. Don’t waste your time/money here.
