Exploring the waters and the fields of the beautiful Northwest, Saskatoon offers you a dining experience rich in aromas, flavors, textures and tastes. From the northwestern corners of the country, we bring you fresh, cold-water salmon, clear river rainbow trout, wild game like elk, pheasant, and bear, plus interesting tastes like emu, portabella mushrooms, and other outdoor treats. Our Saskatoon dining lodge has re-created the look and feel of a Northwest lodge, filled with beautiful pine wood ceiling beams, wall coverings, and furnishings. “Great selection of exotic meats but wait staff is too informal”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

We really liked the elk and buffalo that we ordered. The mashed potatoes were ok. The hot bread with compounded butters were a pleasant surprise.
The bar was actually quieter than the dining room. Decor was appealing hunting lodge and the atmosphere very relaxed. Wait staff asks you your first name and then addressed you that way during the meal. I found this off-putting as even elderly customers are addressed this way. Wait staff also interrupted our conversation frequently.

“Wild Game? Come On Now.”
Reviewed 18 February 2012

Did somebody really go a-huntin' or a-trapping and fetch an ostrich from the wild?
Who shoots a buffalo anyway?
I'd describe this place as surprising. It is surprising tnat they are still open. How often do you
get a hankering for some emu? Me too. Or some gator tail. If you've had it once, that will
do you for, oh, about 25 years. None of it is very tasty. Contrary to popular misconceptions, it does NOT taste like chicken.
Not saying you shouldnt try it. I just dont know why anyone would return.

“Great food and service”
Reviewed 15 February 2012

Saskatoon always exceeds my expectations. Their wait staff is very stable - we often recognize the waiters/waitresses even though we only go once or twice a year.

Their food ranges from exotic things like alligator, ostrich, bison to more mundane, but no less delectable, entrees like steak, trout, and chicken.

Their desserts are huge and fantastic. I especially love their bread pudding.

“A gem in Greenville!”
Reviewed 10 February 2012

Saskatoon has long been one of our favorite restaurants. The service is the best in Greenville and the food is unmatched. They serve wild game which is awesome (buffalo filet is to die for), but they also serve fantastic steaks and flaming cedar plank salmon. The wine list is great, wonderful beers on tap, and this is always a favorite place for us to do large dinners for birthdays or business. Oh and desserts! Our fav is the mile high chocolate cake! Literally, it is that tall! They also have a great VIP rewards system for people that let you gain points for eating there that gain gift certificates. Edmund, the owner, is a great guy who goes above and beyond to make sure all his customers are happy. A great gem in Greenville!
