“Break the Chain!”

Hot Tamale is a legacy fast food restaurant. This is what you got in the days before every exit featured the same five fast food chain restaurants. You got a local eatery off the side of the road - a roll of the gastronomical dice.

Like its chain brethren, it's open 24 hours. It smells like fried food because that is what it offers. You can choose from corn dogs, hot dogs, burgers and other edibles that have hot oil used in the cooking process. Ain't no veggies on the menu except for the burger toppings. They offer sodas and beer for beverages.

We walked in, checked out the menu and walked out. We were staying at SOB for two nights. We decided to go to Dillon for more dining options.

If you're going to stop for gas and fireworks and are on a schedule to get somewhere else, you may as well eat here. If you want better food, you better keep driving.

They were out of lemonade and sweet tea and acted put out to give me unsweetened tea we waited 20 minutes for my daughters food!!!! We threw it away and walked out!!! Horrible don't waste your time!!!

The people behind the counter were not friendly. The food was tolerable but everything was an extra expense. There were flies inside. To go to the restroom you have to walk across the parking lot. Would not stop again!

Other reviews were accurate, don't eat here. Run away fast. Not sure why this area hasn't been redeveloped into something cool and modern. Maybe 30 years ago it was nice but I'm sure it's on the verge of bankruptcy

Took a trip out here to pick up fireworks and decided to grab a bite. I ordered tacos with sour cream and jalapeños(50¢ extra for each topping) and my husband ordered a burger. It took almost 20 minutes to complete our order. When I got it, it was hard shell taco and the jalapeños weren't even fresh. Don't even get me started on the sour cream. Here is a photo of the taco with a fork for size comparison. $3.10(without tax) per taco...don't bother wasting your money.
