We have been visiting HHI for many years but this house was by far one of the best. After crossing the cross island parkway, you travel 278 around the 1st traffic circle to Pope Avenue. PAY THE $1.25 toll to take the Parkway it's much faster and easier. Have money ready as they DO NOT ACCEPT EASY PASS. Once onto Pope Avenue look for Executive Park Road on your left. You pick up the keys to 18 egret at Seashore Vacations located there. The staff is very friendly, upbeat and helpful. After you pull out of Seashore Vacations office, continue along Executive Park road, (it loops back onto Pope avenue), and down Pope to Coligny circle. If you know anything about the area, you can bypass Coligny circle by taking a left onto Lagoon road. Take Lagoon straight to Egret and travel Egret till you cross over Forest Beach Drive. 18 Egret is the first house on the right after you cross Forest Beach Drive. There are 2 sides to park on and if you've seen the pictures of the front of the house, steps lead up to the front door from either side you choose.
This house was clean smelling, no musty odors. There were plenty of clean towels and washrags and starter supplies in all bathrooms. There are 3 bathrooms in all. There are 4 bedrooms but there is also a loft area with a bed, and a pull out bed in the living room sofa. Plenty of sleeping space. There is a small safe bolted to the floor in the closet of the second bedroom. A great place to lock up your wallet and money and even your Ipad when at the beach. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen. It is a full kitchen with a microwave and the ice maker in the freezer works great. There are plenty of pots and pans to cook with, along with plenty of utensils. You should have no problem here. There is a washer and dryer in the home. The home also has WiFi connectivity. If you need the access code, LOOK ON THE REFRIGERATOR. There should be a packet of info about the rental hanging from a magnet. The home as central air, and cable TV, and the front porch is huge. You could probably play shuffle board on it. There are 2 separate seating areas on the front porch with ceiling fans above each, as I said, HUGE.There is a decent in ground pool and an outside table that will seat 6. There are also other chairs around the pool and a charcoal grill. There is a key to the shed hanging in the kitchen, which will give access to a couple of beach chairs and some pool floats, but be respectful of the owners other property inside. Great access to the beach as with all homes on this side of Forest Beach Drive. The beach area was never crowded as it's a bit farther from the public access area near Coligny, and farther from Seacrest Villas.
The only change I would make to this home, would be to screen in the front porch to prevent the bugs, mosquitoes, etc., but by no means a deal breaker.
I highly recommend this rental.
