First let me say that Wyndham was wonderful & helped us to the extent that they were able. They are only the middleman and can not repair items that the owner tells them not to (the owner was contacted and supposedly likes to do his own repairs & maintence, yet declined to repair some items) This home needs a major cleaning and numerous repairs. We arrived to:
-14 light bulbs out (Wyndham had someone out the same day)
-a hole in the kitchen floor that, rather than fill will $2. worth of wood putty, was filled with paper towels. This is directly in front of the sink so you are constantly stepping in it. I saw a review on another site from 2014 where this issue was mentioned.
-the wine cooler and the ice maker in the wet bar were broken (owner declined to fix these items when contacted by Wyndham)
-the ice maker in the fridge was broken & after 2 repairs, finally was fixed on our 2nd to last day
-we were told before arrival that the gas grill wasn't working and the owner wouldn't be replacing it, but then told the owner had provided a new charcoal grill, the "new" grill looked as though it had been retrieved curbside after someone threw it out. Wyndham provided a new grill the same day after viewing pictures of the grill
-the walls have dirt marks and marks from furniture being moved. Nothing you would expect with a two million dollar home but something a simple wet rag could take care of.
-all of the shower heads need to be cleaned or replaced. They are the standard $10 shower heads but all are clogged and you feel as those you have to move from side to side to get wet
-in one of the bathrooms there are words (clean) written on the floor that were then sealed over rather than wiped up and then sealed. Very prominent
Some of these are minor issues, but we were not a group of students on spring break looking to party. We were a family group of middle aged professionals with 3 military families that had saved up to have a relaxing vacation in a beautiful beach house. It was embarrassing to have families that had paid over $1,200 each see the condition the house we had rented was in. We had spent considerable money on travel and did not expect to have to keep running to the store for ice. I would recommend renting from Wyndham to anyone but I would also recommend asking for recent pictures of the interior and specifically what is working and who maintains the property.
