Great beaches, wonderful people, miles of paved bike trails, and great golf, tennis, and restaurants. We've been going for 27 years and absolutely love this place. Also, it's convenient to Charlestown.
Next time we vacation at Kiawah I will look for a different Greenslake cottage. Greenslake cottages (there are many) are well located on the western end, and I loved how the back yards had a large and nature-filled lagoon. All Greenslake cottages are one floor with super-easy parking. The community pool was quite far (too far to walk) so we biked it with chairs and all. The beach was an easy bike ride, but also we felt too far to walk. You could take your car.
But there were SO many things just plain broken in this cottage -- closet door, stove burners, chairs, buckled flooring, three doorknobs ready to fall off the door. I had to call maintenance twice and they only responded once. The view of lagoon was mostly obscured by tall bushes; you could see the far end only. Also, the description I read online from Wyndam said there was a gas grill, but there is not.
