“Not Handicap”
Reviewed 22 April 2012

Ask for a room that was handicap accessible We had to switch rooms because the first room did not have handrails in the shower. The second room had handrails, but you could not get to the bathroom in your wheelchair because the bed stuck out to far. The bed was so hard that I slept on the sofa. Parking was terrible, the parking deck is very small. The room was clean and maintenance came quickly to fix the TV. Would not recommend.

Dan checked us in and was super nice and accommodating! We booked a two queen room with a sleeper sofa, the room was very nice and really clean. We loved the pools being right in our building, our 1 and a half year old son loved the heated pool which was great since he was scared of the cold ocean :p the jacuzzi was awesome as well. You do have to park across the street but it's really no big deal because there is a crosswalk straight across where you can take the elevator for the parking garage, also Starbucks being on that side of the road made our small walk over there even better whenever we needed our car! We highly recommend this property and will return next time we are in the area! Thanks Dan and The Breakers for making our vacation amazing!

Best ever Easter Holiday, we have just arrived back from a fab time at Breakers we stayed in what they call the admin building and although a little noisy at night the most convienent room ever, just steps away from the Parrots bar, Beach, Lazy River & Pools.
Parrot bar staff fantastic, Bumz next door great and fantastic pizza from across the road, the property is imaculate no rubbish anywhere.
Our son was so entertained by the Lazy River, while we relaxed, the beaches were incredible and on the beach oposite the hotel there is even a lifeguard
1 mile away from Broadway on the Beach, which is fantastic!!!!
We are defitnatley booking for Easter 2013

Just returned from our first visit at The Breakers in Myrtle Beach. We plan on going back next year with our children and grandchildren. The hotel has so much to offer for singles and families as well. We enjoyed drinks and lunch a couple of times in the Parrot Lounge, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the food perfect. We enjoyed our breakfast buffet at Papa's. The freshness and variety of items on the buffet was over the top!! I myself am a clean freak and found our room and bath very clean. The pool areas were very clean and the staff was out there early each day making sure things were ready for the guests each day. The only problem I found was the air quality in the elevators, perhaps a better ventilation system would help. I look forward to my next visit.

Room Tip: we loved our ocean front room, coffee on the balcony, watching the sunrise was perfect.

My wife and I just finished our third stay at the Breakers in Myrtle Beach SC and have already booked the fourth. They go above and beyond the call of duty to satisfy their guests. All staff is super friendly, rooms are clean and well equipped and what you get for your money surpasses anything else in Myrtle Beach. The Breakers is perfectly located to reach all beach attractions. The hotel is well equipped for all the kids and grandkids and also provides quiet alone areas for couples. I have been going to Myrtle Beach for over 30 years and consider The Breakers to be far and away the best value and most pleasant location I have stayed at.
My wife and I have been in all seasons and have never been disappointed. Come on down, you'll be glad you did. Wes & Hope from Forest Va.

Room Tip: Corner rooms with a tub for two are awesome. By the way, all elevators are super efficient.

We just returned from our first visit to Myrtle Beach. After lots of research we decided to stay at the Breakers. We stayed in the Paradise tower and had a studio oceanview room. The view was beautiful. We had almost a 360 degree view from the other windows in our room. The room looked just like the pictures on the website. It was clean and perfect for our family of 3, although the couch pulled out to sleep more if needed. We had a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, utencils, glasses, corkscrew, can opener and a set of large glass mixing bowls. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights so we did not need to use many of these items, but nice to know they were there just in case. The entire staff was very friendly, even a man cleaning the doors said good morning when we entered the building. Housekeeping was polite and very friendly as well. We flew in To Myrtle beach aiport from Atlantic City the fight was a little over an hour and we arrived at the hotel at 8 in the morning. We thought it was a long shot to check in at that time, but knew we were able to leave our bags and enjoy the hotels ammenities. To our surprise our room was ready and we were unpacked by 8:30 and enjoying a small breakfast at Starbucks directly across from our building by 9 a.m. It was a perfect start to our wonderful vacation. The indoor pool was located in our building so very convienent to get off the elevator and walk right to the pool area. There were lots of children as many schools had Spring Break. Even though some of the teenagers were a little wild at times, our 5 year old was not bothered by them, and neither were her father and I. The Lazy river was our daughters favorite it is only 3 ft deep so she could touch, the indoor pool area also had 2 hot tubs and baby pool. The Red Parrot restaurant had good food and drinks at a fair price. One of the days we got drinks and food sitting by the pool and never had to leave our chair. The property is litteraly steps from the beach and there was pleanty of seating on the grass right before the beach as well. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Papa's the next 4 days. Our daughter ate free and we paid $7 for each adult which was a great deal! The buffet had everything you could ever want for breakfast and the service was great! we did not have a car and did not need to rent one. We walked to the boardwalk and took a $7 cab ride to Broadway on the Beach. We also were able to walk to dinner everynight as there are many restaurants within a block of the resort. The last day we were there we asked for a later check out and told us the we could have an extra hour, which was fine. We were able to leave our bags in the registration area and enjoy the resort the rest of the day as our flight was not until 9 p.m. We were given a key to the fitness area where there were showers and a changing room. When it was time to leave the manager called a taxi to come get us and help carry our bags. We had a wonderful stay, and will hopefully be back.

We just returned from The Breakers Resort and for a family of 4 visiting with a larger group of 10, it was a perfect mix of value, location, selection, and ease. The pool and beach access are easy and had lots to offer for our kids aged 1.5 to 8. Warm pools, lazy river, zero depth, and of course the Pirate Ship! Beach is literally steps away and plenty of ocean view seating around the pool deck (including grassy areas with was a nice feature). Tasty restaurants in and around the resort with friendly staff - cantina food, buffet, pizza, ice cream, starbucks all on the same block. Plus the location is unbeatable. You're walking distance to the Ferris wheel and Pier 14, but located far enough north on the strip that you have EASY access to Hwy 17 to quickly get to and from 501, up to Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle, and not feel like you're stuck stuck in tourist mess. It was great.

We were there over Easter and the magician show and deluxe breakfast buffet was an added bonus!
