We recently played on a Legends Golf Club package. It beat our previous Santee, SC golf package. The courses were better, accommodations better, & food options better. They covered Breakfast and Lunch plus a couple of extra drinks (i.e. beer). The Golf Shop and Cart guys were very accommodating. They provided us with rain checks due to a rain out. We plan to go back in the future.

We have been coming to the area for over 8 years and decided to try this resort. We heard about the breakfast and lunch and thought this could be nice but big mistake. We had 9:30 tee times and didn’t finish until almost 3:30 in the afternoon. The course is packed like sardines. This is not a golf courses not sure what you call it. The layouts are ok but crowds of people is crazy.

Booked thru Condo World...Golf Villas are spacious and beautiful. Beds are comfy and we had all we needed and then some. Lodging is located on the Legends property and we played all three of the courses there which super convenient. We played another Legends course during our stay as part of the package as well. Breakfast and lunch are included daily in the package and this deal cannot be touched by many of the other golf packages available. Two draft beers per day are also included though I don’t drink.

The courses are well maintained and beautiful. Pace of play is slow at times but I’d rather be on a golf course than most anywhere else so there are worse problems to have. Starters and all course/pro shop personnel are great. I have zero complaints and this is the third time now we’ve booked a package at Legends. Food is great at the club house...like really really good!! Buffet breakfast with custom omelet option daily and full menu for lunch. Again, breakfast and lunch are included and delicious.

I highly recommend Legends and will likely be staying and playing there again!

Attached photos were taken at Heritage Golf Club which is NOT located at the Legends property. This course is south of Legends by about 45 minutes. The fifth Legends course is about 30 minutes or so North of Legends (Oyster Bay Golf). Both offsite courses are great and I was blown away by Heritage. It’s a little more challenging but fun to play and beautiful. Lots of alligators to keep you company!

If you're looking for a golf getaway, look no further than Legends in Myrtle Beach. The courses are beautiful and in excellent condition; the food is delicious; the staff very friendly and helpful; the resort has everything you need and more; the cost was very reason. Definitely coming back. Have nothing but praise for this place. Check it out!

Our golf group hadn’t been to Myrtle Beach so we settled on The Legends to give it a try. Everything is really organized from check in to the condo, bag drop, loading clubs on carts, practice range and then there is the whole food operation. Breakfast and lunch included with the golf package is a real plus. The breakfast buffet is ample with a large variety for any diet. Lunch off the menu with 2 beverages caps off a round of golf. The courses were in very good shape even after the September hurricane and a soggy day while we were there. Very little signs of the very wet months. Only criticism we have is they only have an 8-minute gap between tee times and they’ll start groups off the front and back. Understandable given the price of packages and desire for high volume. However it does result in some near 5-hour rounds. Frustrating part was we’d have a two-hour front 9 but then get bogged down with a 3-hour back. But on balance, the quality of golf courses, the friendly and supportive staff and the amenities make the total package a great deal. Just pack your patience with your clubs.

Things can be busy here, but when you package in golf, accommodation, breakfast, lunch and a couple beer per golfer - it's near impossible to beat. The quality of golf is also very good - all 3 courses - and they are each a little different.

From reservations to cart return, nothing worked as well as it should have. The phone not answered on Saturday morning. "Leave a message and we will return your call" recording on second call prompted me to leave a message which was not returned. The prepaid lunch was more trouble than it was worth. One par 3 had no red tees between green tees and green, something not apparent until you drove to the green. The practice area was a significant distance from the clubhouse with no carts provided (a shuttle with driver was available). There were no carts available anywhere on the property except from bagdrop to first tee and only at your tee time, despite a very large property. A 5hr 25min round made for a frustrating experience, from start to finish, despite the reasonable golf course. On a positive note, the starter/marshall was very friendly and helpful. We will not be back.

Just stay away, this place is worse than a muni course , had a grounds keeper mowing the lawn right around me and my ball while I was trying to chip. The rest of the grounds crew never stopped mowing or raking the traps and even after they were done no markers were put back in the fairways or the tee boxes!! The greens have rot never was told, the rest of the courses we played made sure to tell us. Save your money and enjoy better courses while in Myrtle Beach

Arrival: all the staff on the bagman to check in and the servers in the restaurant were excellent.

Time spent playing 18 holes with 3 others: 4 1/2 hours. Sometimes it may take longer than 4 1/2 hours to play any of the three Legends courses on Hwy 501, because of the vast amount of people playing.

I have golfed all the Legends courses. The Heathland course is one of my favorites, then Parkland, last Moorland.

Course conditions: 15 of the 18 greens were in perfect condition. The three other greens had some spotty areas around the edges, but they didn’t affect putting on the greens.

Will I return to play Heathland at the Legends? Most definitely!

We have this course in the past and loved it. Not so this time. The greens were awful. They called it winter kill. The layout is great, but I would call ahead before booking it to inquire about the greens
