Description: If you live and breathe the game of golf, you’re bound to hunger for more than a few birdies. At Sam Snead’s Oak Grill & Tavern, you can feast on your passion for the game, as well as great food. Come in and roam from room to room, savoring the rich wood décor and all the memorabilia collected by Sam himself as he made his way into golf history. Then choose from a wide selection of foods grilled only with locally-cured oak that creates our signature, unique flavor. Start with Sam’s appetizers; make your selection from Certified Angus Beef ® brand products, the freshest local seafood, chicken or fall-off-the-bone ribs smoked in-house. Complement all of this with a fine wine, a Slammin’ Sam lager or your favorite cocktail. For the lighter appetite, there’s a wide salad and sandwich selection to be enjoyed at Sam Snead’s Oak Grill & Tavern. Be sure to top your meal with one of our homemade desserts.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of steak and seafood dishes in an upscale atmosphere with a golfing theme. The food is well-prepared and priced a bit above average. This is a great place for a group, or for a couple. Their desserts are very good, and make a wonderful finish to a good meal. The restaurant is very easy to get to, with lots of parking available. A nice choice if you are looking for something a bit upscale.

We are here one evening with a group of friends and it was the first time being at a Sam Sneads. The service was friendly; our food was not very warm when served and it was not a busy evening.

Being honest, it was an average meal and we felt that we would not return. There are many more placed to eat in the area.

Tried Sam Snead’s for first time at this location. I remember the location on Restaurant Row that closer and was place to go for a good steak. Not good here. Had their pork tenderloin and was very dry. They slice and grill it and sure it was well done before the popped it on the grill to cook even more. Was covered in some sort of brown gravy with onions. Side dish was creamed spinach and I have not seen anything like this. Whole spinach that looked it may have been steamed in a pool of thin white sauce with garlic in it. Nothing about it was like creamed spinach I have ever seen.
Another dish that was way off was the Chicken marsala - chicken was covered in thick brown gravy with mushrooms. When I say thick I mean it would not even run off the chicken - was like a blob. Now way a marsala sauce. No capers, very little flavor. Meal was described as tasting like salisbury steak. Got there at 8:00 and did not get main course until 9:30 and we were the only table in the place as everyone there when we arrived left by 9:00. Waiter was nice, not his fault. Won’t be back. Too many other choices in area.

The smell of the wood grill was heavenly. I wanted to order the fish special but they were sold out. My nephew ordered the prime rib on the menu but was informed they didn't serve it on Monday's. The food we finally ordered was good but the night was not going well. I will probably not go here again
