Looking for a special resturant to celebrate our 28th anniverary and we found it. The Library excelled in many regards: Great sevice, our server, Andrew, covered all our needs and requests in an attentive and natural manner, and anticipating our needs. Food was expertly prepared, in our case steak au proive and salmon entres, and the escargot and she-crab soup apps were about the best we have ever had. The cocktails also were perfect--nice touch having the tiny ice bits in the French 75. Some oddities popped up--the steak au proive lacked the expected (and all but standard) cracked pepper crust, though it was quite good. There were a number of off-the-menu specials, unpriced, which may (or not) be of concern. And this exceptional service and food in a town known for mid-level family buffet restuarnts is not inexpensive. The wine by the glass options were only okay. We will return.
