The staff, facilities, and views were fabulous! The floor I was on was clean, tidy, and welcoming, the elevator worked smoothly (always clean), and security seemed covered. The pool was a bit loud with kids/teens in the evening on the weekend, but the pool was generally emptied by 11PM, which was helpful. It was always clean. Hot tub was closed, so it would have been nice to have enjoyed that while there. Parking is congested—lots of “compact” car slots, posted, but larger cars & trucks park there, which eliminates space for others. Figured a lot of marina/boat owners must park in the guest parking—difficult to monitor.
Although a smoke-free facility, which was why I chose this resort, there were guests that smoke on the balconies (sneak it and try and hide it or have another person stand in front of the smoker to block others from seeing), smoke pool side (hide by the hot tub), and boaters on the deck light up. Being on a lower floor may not be a wise choice. I do think “smoking” should be addressed as a reminder when people check in, maybe stickers on the room keys, and also share with renters that smoke those awful electronic cigarettes.
I may come back next year, but I’ll check out what other smoke-free resorts are available, too.More
