Needing a break from the road we made reservations for 2 nights. Before we arrived we realized be wanted to extend our stay due to the 4 th of July holiday, fortunately they were able to accommodate us for an additional 3 nights. The park is nice with grass separating you from the next space. The spots are a little close together but very enjoyable. They have great water pressure! It was so easy to go downtown via the trolley hat picks you up in front of the office twice an hour. Next door is a place called fur ever free all I say is google it because it's not what it leads you to believe. VERY CONTROVERSIAL! There's a nice water park and go cart fun center just feet from the RV park. Another thing that was nice if you bag your garbage and leave it at the edge of your site they pick it up for you and take it to the dumpster. Just a really nice place!

It was very difficult to get to this campsite as Deadwood is under major construction, that is not the camps fault! The site itself is very steep and campers are right next door to each other. Staff were very nice & gave us advice on bus services into town.

We loved staying here in our motorhome during Wild Bill Days in Deadwood SD. There are many sites available including pull ins, pull throughs and back ins. All are spaced well and most have a view of the gulch.
We were up high on the hill and we had a bathroom near us but it was quite a walk to get to the pool, office and showers but the walk was great (a nice little work out daily). The campground goes up into the hill and some spots overlook the city itself (#100 - 114, I think).
The bathrooms are clean and showers are warm. The campsite was pretty busy on the weekend we were there and they were never too busy. The pool was a nice addition to camping in the hills, and it made the $54/night stay a little easier to bear.
WiFi worked well once connected no matter where you were on the site.
We bought some firewood form the front desk and they dropped it off that evening. They also picked our garbage in the morning hours.
We reserved a spot near some family that met us there and we were all able to stay next to each other.
The Trolley that takes us right downtown comes right to the office and we rode it for $1 each trip. It was so convenient.
Food and fun are maybe a block away. Fire pits in each site and all sites were fairly level.
It rained each night and since it's on a hill made of rock everything just flows down and nothing stays soaked. We had a great stay.

Room Tip: If you don't want a long walk to the office and trolley ask for a higher numbered site, 300s.

Since we have 3 teenagers in our 35' motorhome, wifi / high speed internet is something we LOOK FOR when booking an RV spot. We were even able to stream NETLIX with very little stuttering. Property is beautiful (see the pics I submitted). Mostly pull throughs with room for large slides, but only a 6' piece of grass with a picnic table and fire pit separated us from our neighbor. Heated pool is great for small children--it is large, but only 3.5 ft deep throughout. Nice concrete patio for mom and dad to read a book and catch some rays :-)

Nice dry grassy tent sites backing up to a mountain. The only problem is the (very nice) bathrooms/showers are up by the office/laundry room and the park is laid out in one long stretch in a "gultch" valley between two mountain ridges. So if you aren't the first rv spot (#101) (like we were :-)), you had to walk a long way to get there--especially long walk for the tenters in the extreme back of the park.

Nice little camp store with microwave at the office. In June 2015, we paid $50/night full hook up ($45 with GS discount). Laundry $2.25 wash (28 min), ; $2.00 dry (60 min). So convenient to Jeep trails and especially downtown Deadwood. Great place to come home to each night!

Room Tip: Best wifi closer to office. All sites have the same 'niceness.'

We have been coming there for years and this year we were giving the worst service. We spend alot of money there and have brought them additional customers in the past. We are very disappointed in there service this year
