This was a great camping weekend for us. We loved the fact that we were tent camping, but we had clean bathrooms and showers close by our site, with a fully stocked store at the campground entrance.
There was a ton for the adults and kids to do. They have 2 pools, mini golf, waterslide, balloon jump, playgrounds, bike rentals, UTV rentals (reserve early!), horseback riding, etc.
If you don't want to cook, there's a little quick-stop restaurant at the entrance, a full-service restaurant with local craft beer selections, as well as snacks in the camp store and fudge, ice cream and treats in the shops.
Close proximity to Mt. Rushmore and other attractions!

Though crowded the resort was a lot of fun! Easy check in, friendly staff and lots to do. Great location for visiting Mount Rushmore and other local sites. Be ready to be off the grid with no phone service and no WiFi.

I cannot say enough about this KOA. We were originally supposed to stay at the KOA in Custer, and thank goodness they screwed up. I called the KOA at Mount Rushmore and they luckily had a location for five nights. Once we got there it was an absolute gold mine if you have children. Super friendly, kids loved it, lots to do, clean, friendly, etc. You can’t go wrong here, especially with the location to Mount Rushmore.

At first this place seemed very nice, but went downhill. You drive in, very pretty flowers, reservations and store look nice. Kid area looks like alot of fun. This place as I read, is huge! That means a ton of people come through, which shows! The bathrooms were dirty and a wait. We were using comfort station 4. There was one stall, neither of the large rolls worked. Toilet paper in them, but would not turn to unroll. A nice lady asked if I needed paper from another stall, because she was stuck in that one days ago, and reported the problem, with obviously no solution. Sinks were very dirty, worn. Floors had toilet paper, trash and dirt. Under the sinks were water puddles. Just walking by the showers, they looked overused, not clean, dirty, especially the floors. We all decided to go without a shower!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom camping cabin. We booked at least 6 months in advance, with a request to be by the fun zone, but they said couldn't. Offered us a golf cart if we wanted to pay for it, since our cabin was so far away. The parking spots in our rows were not clear, nor did they correspond to our cabins. The cabin was ok, worn floor, and simple and basic, maybe swept, but not cleaned. Found left over paper work from previous guests. Dusty older curtains with rods that kept falling, screens (many bent) and windows very dirty.
We had the $3.50 pancake breakfast, the sides, were where the expense came if you wanted them. Milk, coffee, or water was $2.50 each. There is a sign up that there can be no outside food or drinks. The multi use syrup bottles, were very sticky and unclean. Our table was clean.
Our kids liked the jumping pillow the most. The splash pad was for the younger side. The waterside looked fun, but after a couple times down, they were done. The line took awhile. Slow slide ride and super cold water area at the end. It was looking a little dated. We did not use the pool, or mini golf. The climbing wall was in it's down, no use position the entire stay.
As others have said, zero wifi or cell service.

Overall pretty close to everything, staff was friendly.
We stayed at the KOA west entrance of Glacier National Park, MT last year, camping cabin. Which was beautiful!! It was soooo clean,it was like when you were walking out of a bathroom or shower, they were right behind you cleaning. This one, nothing close, they could definitely take some lessons. We will not be staying here again, especially for the price.

We stayed here for 2 nights while we waited to go to Rafter J campground that had sold out for our dates. There is a lot to do here for the kids but it rained and 50 degrees in mid June when we visited which was not there fault. Expensive especially since we essentially paid for a parking spot.

We didn't get to use the playground, climbing wall, water slide, gold panning, or playground. We did use the heated pool and my young kids swam in it when it was 51 degrees out and I think it was decent warm as there was steam coming off. I sat and watched :)

check in was smooth and they were friendly with getting to camp site. Laundry nice. Wifi really doesn't work even at the areas they say unable to get connected and the staff even agreed. Camp store a little expensive.

Sites were flat that we stayed on but some are hilly and with the crazy mud it would have been tough to get in one of those spaces. We had water/electric hook up. Very TIGHT!! you park your pickup horizontal and camper vertical and then you have about a 10x10 are where the fire pit and picnic table is located. I agree I would be cautious with starting a fire since it is so close.

I disagree with others about filthy bathrooms. There were actually very very nice and updated. Clean while we stayed. Showers were individual located around the mens/womens/ bathrooms and were for anyone to use, but spacious and door locked. Some mud in the showers and hair but that is to be expected. Great place for kids, if looking for relaxing and no children stay elsewhere. Location is stellar.
