Wanted to stay at a hotel that wasn’t your average run of the mill chain...this is it!! Right downtown, easy to find, historic and very clean. I am a freak about clean! The only part of the room that missed cleaning was the windows. Looked like someone pressed their face against the window to look outside. Otherwise it was immaculate. Nice king size room with a desk and chair and plenty of room to move around. It had a nice closet and roomy bathroom. Keurig coffee maker and mini fridge and microwave. Very quiet also. Never heard any noise all night. We were on the 6th floor so that might have helped. Only suggestion I could make is don’t stay on the 8th floor...they call it the paranormal floor! Unless you like stuff like that. Friendly staff also. And as far as parking, the front desk suggested street parking for free after 4 but you must move your vehicle by 10:30 the next morning or you’ll get a ticket. Otherwise you can pay for valet parking for about $20 or self park for $10. We found a free spot right across the street...lucky! Would definitely stay here again!!

Clean. Old. Remodeled. Friendly staff. We reserved a king and we were given two double beds. Rooms are very small. Valet parking is available but pricey. Other parking is at least a block away and is also paid. No breakfast. A pub is onsite for lunch and beyond.
The hotel is in downtown which has history and charm.

Tripadvisor only scores average or very good so I suppose this was only average. Nice staff as usual but rooms are very small. I guess it’s an old hotel but we didn’t even have a chair. How can the older traveller get dressed? They bought us one but under sufferance. The old lobby was spoilt by Halloween decorations but Irish bar and shop were good. Valet struggled at times but did their best as had to defrost the snow in October!

It's history, character and uniqueness, updated rooms, downtown location, direct entrance to Starbucks and an Irish Pub, the wonderful rooftop bar with outdoor patios and firepits assured that we rarely left the premises!

Along with a group of about 30 people, we stayed at the AJ October 9 and 10. On the morning of the 10th, we had a hotel “continental breakfast” in the Lincoln Room. The minimal fruit was mediocre, and the rest consisted of lukewarm coffee, frozen-tasting orange juice, and a few sweet treats, several of which were cut in half and partially frozen.
