We went with friends on the Hiawassi Eco Cruise to see the Bald Eagles and the Sandhill Cranes. Captain Dave was very friendly and informative. We learned a lot about the Eco system, the migratory birds, and of course the Sandhill Cranes. The boat was very clean, and the lunch provided very good as well. Dave and Ethan were very friendly, and provided information on things to do in area. We are coming back in Fall to do the Fall Colors Cruise!

Our group went on the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge Tour. We saw thousands of cranes, several whooping cranes , eagles, osprey and much more. This was a fabulous tour with lunch. Our naturalist was great.

We did the Hiwassee Eco-Cruise today, after going last year and loving it. We saw about 12 bald eagles, hundreds if not thousands of Sandhill Cranes and various other interesting wildlife. The staff is wonderful, the food is good and the wildlife is fantastic. It is definitely worth going.

I was pleasantly surprised with Blue Moon Cruises. We took a Fall Color Cruise leaving Ross's Landing and going around Mocassin Bend up near Suck Creek. This was the shorter of their cruises (2.5 hours). The guide could be heard inside and outside of the boat and explained a lot of history and ecosystem points of interest on the trip out. Lunch was served as we made our way back and the Fall Colors were amazing! The boat was roomy and not overcrowded with people, so if we got a little too cold we could enjoy the views from inside. The River Gorge Explorer sped by us and it looks like we got a smoother nicer experience than their passengers!
The Fall Colors were gorgeous, and as it was a cold day I'm glad that coffee was provided. It was a very smooth ride and we would definately consider taking one of the other crusies they offer.
