Breakfast sandwich itself around yesterday's Friday early A.M.[2/16]literally crumbled to where necessitated coddling with both hands...Country fried steak burnt...Forty-cent single slice of tomato wasn't even large enough at where covering complete the also at-an-additional-cost folded egg! Through said latest everlasting impression---this business can definitely bank on which I most certain won't be returning(alas, too bad for both us while considering how I mere reside diagonally across South Lee Highway)!!! p.s. They should've kept the shift's grill cook doing dishes, that way he could've talked our waitress' head off between busing what few tables there were so she herself might better shown more attentive then.

The Rebel is synonymous with quality food and good times to all Clevelanders. This classic restaurant has closed more than once over the many years since it first opened - but has literally been brought back to life at the insistence of it's many storied customers. Everything is from scratch and nothing is overlooked here as you will find the bacon thick and the gravy that you will pour over your piping hot biscuits made from scratch. After this serving of biscuits and gravy - all other gravy will taste like glue and wet newspapers. Don't ruin yourself - stay away. On second hand - please come and stay awhile and discover an old, yet vibrantly alive part of Cleveland, TN taste and hospitality. Have breakfast at the Rebel today!

This is my kind of place. Hole in the wall, great food and great people watching. Biscuits and gravy were awesome. Not the regular sausage gravy by far but still very good fluffy biscuit. Paired great with some country ham and a couple eggs. I will be back next time I am in town.

We got the "whopper" hamburger plate with fries. The sandwich was great and the fries done well. Great place to visit.

Sad to say The Rebel has Closed Down! I've ate here since I was a little girl. They did have great food! The lottaburger was the best burger with their special sauce. I was shocked to find out they closed down. I am very sad to see such a great and friendly place gone! Best wishes to the family.
