Second sitting Friday evening. Quiet relaxed atmosphere eating starters miso soup, edamame beans, ebi prawns, chicken yakatori, vegetable gyosa dumplings and salmon sashimi with nice bottle of white wine. Reasonably priced. In and out 70 mins or so as all the food came together. Would have preferred if it had been more staggered but will know to ask next time.

An evening meal out and it we weren't sure what to expect from a Japanese restaurant! This place is good though, there is more than just sushi and sashimi on the menu. Curries and noodles feature as main courses. It is not fine dining but it is tasty. The staff were welcoming too. Desserts aren't great.

after being eating in Tani Restaurant for a few times and being a big fan of the Japanese Kitchen, I have to say that I was very disappointed the last time I was there. it started with a sea weed salad that contained all sorts of ingredients including green beans, asparagus and cherry tomatoes ( hardly Japanese Style), but only a tiny sliver of seaweed and the worse of all it was splattered with balsamic dressing. seriously?? more than amateurish. I got a new one but same thing, BALSAMIC!! come on lads, the sashimi wasn't cut by a trained chef well maybe trained but not in the Asian Arts-very poor. My Wife's Duck Dish came with Parsnip Crisps! ?? what's that about?? and was a sweet mess with too many bean sprouts and really nothing else.. oh sorry two small broccoli rosettes., thank you. after looking into the Kitchen myself and my Wife could confirm that there was no sign of a Japanese Chef, the whole delivery of the food is very European and my sushi / unagi eel sushi could have been done by anyone. I know because I have been eaten there a good few times and it was really good, precise and delivered on the plate as one could expect in an Japanese Restaurant.
last visit for sure and thanks for the reply Tani Team...not

We dined here last Saturday night, and were so impressed. The menu has a very good selection. We tried the prawn tempura, calamari, and the gyoza to start, and yaki soba, seafood teppanyaki and cha han for our mains. So tasty, very generous portions. Good to see another great restaurant in naas.

We arrived On spec early Friday evening with the hamster in tow. He was being difficult, didn't want to come in as of course he thought he was going somewhere else. Having persuaded him to come he proceed to have a canary as he couldn't sit where he wanted! Both mother and father at this stage are
Considering our option for offering our son up for adoption when we finally persuaded him to join us at the correct table. All the staff looked on sympathetic at this time and the other diner pretended not to notice which was a kindness really ! Anyway onto the food. I ordered a seaweed salad, followed by chicken Teppanyaki, Hubble had tempura prawns followed by crispy duck salad. The hamster had little choice but we got a mixed
Plate with
Little sushi rolls and tempura. He ate the tempura and was supremely disappointed that there was no chips ! We satisfied him with a chocolate brownie. Seaweed salad was pleasant, tempura sublime, duck salad device but the teppanyaki was swimming in a pool of sauce which took significantly from the enjoyment. we would go again but without the hamster as the menu is not geared to keeping little one humoured but more for the adventurous child. I left feeling a little disappointed but we will try again
