There is no doubt this is one of the best placed restaurants on the island, with fantastic views over St Brelade's Bay. The views alone are probably worth the visit, and does add to the price tag.
The service is also excellent, staff are really friendly and helpful, no faults there. However, the food, for me at least, did not live up to the expectation, setting or staff. We had a couple of starters: Chicken popcorn (£7.95 and really not worth it, a bunch of very small, slightly overcooked coated chicken pieces), and the Crab doughnut (similar price) - this was nicer to be honest and had a lovely spicy kick. The main courses were all fine, but not as good as other places on the island. The kids fish and chips was probably the best. We also had the squid and prawn fried platter (around £15 then add £3 or so on for fries) and it was OK, just OK. I had the crab taco, (add new potatoes for £3.50 to the £13.50) and it becomes slightly expensive for what it was. The crab was good, but not overly impressive.
Overall, this place is fine, with reasonable food, but nothing outstanding. There are certainly many better places on the island for the same (or cheaper) prices. However, where this places wins out is the location and view, so you have to accept that you pay slightly more for that.
