A lovely little Portuguese bistro near our hotel which had been recommended to us. We were pre-warned about the huge amount of food served so went straight for the mains but being our first time we ordered 3 different types of skewer - only to discover there was far too much for us!! The skewers were served with chips, roast potatoes, rice and another tasty dish we didn't know the name of but was similar to fried chunks of bread!! The skewers were huge and had lovely chunks of vegetables with them. The menu has a good choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We would definitely recommend eating here though booking first might be an idea as it was full very quickly and having to turn people away!

As we were only staying at the Royal next door we thought we give this place a visit one night. How pleasing that was!
We both ordered 'skewered dishes and with all the accompanying sides had difficulty finding room for them all.
As luck would have it, 2 nights later it was raining 'cats and dogs' so off we went back to Barros. The charming lady boss found us a table and this time we I ordered Piri Piri whilst my wife tried another Skewer, yes once again could not finish the meal.

Good choice of menu - good quality at a reasonable price - ample portions - too much for some! Staff were very efficient and friendly.

A lovely friendly Portugese restaurant serving some of the best food outside Portugal. Make sure you are hungry when you visit as the portions are very generous and it would be a crime to waste it

Recommended by family and it was exactly as expected. We missed out on the starters and went straight to mains. I had the fish cataplana which was accompanied with chips, potatoes, rice and milho (Portuguese fried corn). If you go on quantity then it was more than enough.

My children had the spaghetti bolognaise and the beef espatada. They loved their food eating it all up.

The little waitress who served us was superb. She was polite and gave us an excellent service.
