We visited Cafejac on 3 occasions during our week's stay in Jersey in July, including with family & friends. It's located away from the busy part of town and this adds to the relaxed atmosphere, although inside there is a great vibe. The menu had so much to offer. The bottomless coffee is a must and so are the freshly made smoothies. The portions are generous and the service was was professional but personal.

Returned back to this quaint restaurant that feels like your sat in someone's dining room / lounge. Really inviting and charming. The food is mind blowingly awesome and is always on my list to visit when on the island.

We have never had a bad meal here and it is always packed at lunchtime, so this is a good judge of its popularity.

You can choose between light bites, a changing soup menu or a larger meal, so it caters for all tastes.

The venue itself is cosy but you can still have a good chat and the staff are very friendly and attentive.

A great one to recommend.

Let me first point out that we use to go here a lot! You couldn't fault the breakfast or lunch, but things have changed...

Breakfast:
A few weeks ago we decided to have breakfast here as it has been a good couple of years since we last tried it. Sad to say that it was a disappointment. To start with you seem to get a lot less for your money (a sign of the times I guess) and what you do get just doesn't meet the standard of the many other places that can be found only a few minutes walk from Cafe jac.
There were issues with the order such as items missing and in my case, totally wrong dish. It then took a further 5 or so minutes for the correct dish to be brought to the table, during this time everyone else in the group had their food sitting there waiting for me. That morning they did seem pretty rushed and they had staff that looked lost and out of their depth, certainly the service was not what I'd have expected.

Dinner:
Despite the breakfast experience we decided to try dinner as the menu looked good and figured the breakfast issue was a "one off".
Firstly, all the food arrived at the same time, things are looking up! I went for the Jac burger and my wife had a frittata. The burger was good, nothing out of this world but what i'd class as acceptable. The frittata on the other hand was a different story. it was very dry and to be honest, very small too, in fact the side salad was twice the size. All in all, my wife left hungry and had to make something to eat when we got home.

It really is a shame that on 2 occasions we've been left a little underwhelmed by a place that was once good. I can only hope that they try to cut back on being everything to everyone and stick at what they did best.
