Stayed for a short weekend as a surprise for a friends birthday during the Guernsey October tennerfest and had a lovely stay. We were all treated very well and found the staff to be very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We all had an excellent evening meal and breakfast the next morning was first class.

After being delayed a day coming over to Guernsey on the Condor ferry due to the weather we arrived at this beautiful hotel to a very warm welcome. Our room was beautifully decorated ,comfortable and tea and coffee making facilities complimentary biscuits and water. Clean robes and all spa shower gel and shampoo also provided. The reception staff were amazing giving us information about the local bus service which we used a great deal to get around the island for just one pound. Everyday at breakfast a printed sheet of things to do and the weather forecast was given to each guest such a nice touch. We ate on two occasions in the evening and the food was excellent and the service was impeccable only one tiny criticism and that is the menu could just be varied a little bit. The breakfast was really well cooked and delicious such a variety of hot food cooked to perfection. There is a gin distillery on the premises and people can book parties which seems very popular. They even produce their own gin. The location is stunning with beautiful walks. We thank the staff for a fantastic stay and highly recommend.

Have stayed here several times before and yet again we were very happy. Rooms lovely and clean and well appointed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice selection for breakfast. Must admit we were a little bit disappointed at the limited choice on the tennerfest menu compared to what some of the other hotels/restaurants were offering so we ate out every night as we tend to come to Guernsey this time of year partly to take advantage of the excellent value for money meals on offer. Will certainly stay again next time we visit the island.

An expensive Guernsey Hotel and the staff go out of their way to be helpful and the hotel itself is very well appointed. The room we had overlooked the car park and unfortunately was very noisy due to the gravel. Also this room was obviously next door to a small store room where early in the morning the cleaners would get out their products and vacuum cleaners for the morning I am sure they tried to be as quiet as possible but of course we could hear them. Probably best to avoid this room I am sure the other rooms would be lovely. Housekeeping was extremely good and as previously said the staff were excellent especially reception staff arranging taxis and booking boat trips. The restaurant was very hit and miss. On the first evening I had lobster bisque which was very brown and tasted like Bisto! We were also offered on the first night an amuse-bouche which consisted of a pork ball in my book this does not represent an amuse-bouche! This pork ball was on the menu another night as a main course, very odd. On our last night we ate in the restaurant again which turned out to be a mistake as the cooking was certainly not up to standard. One morning my partner asked for porridge and when it came up the porridge was practically just a bowl of uncooked oats. For my dessert on our last night I had summer pudding which came up as just pieces of bread with some fruit between it was awful. We ate in a pub a few minutes walk from the hotel and had the most wonderful food we should have done this every night. It is a pity that this restaurant lets the whole hotel down.

What a gorgeous gem and a beautiful venue for a dear friends wedding. The rooms are really pretty and well appointed - love the toiletries. Really worth treating yourself & only 10 minuted from the Port.

A real gem of a hotel in a lovely quiet location. Great food, lovely atmosphere and great facilities. The gin distillery was a surprise and a delight to taste the in-house gin! When everything is so good, it's inevitable that some minor point for improvement comes to mind - and this one is VERY minor. The flush button for the toilet (in both the bedroom and the public toilet) was very difficult to depress and make the toilet flush properly!!

We stayed at the Bella Luce in early September as part of a wedding party that took over the whole hotel. The hotel itself is a traditional two-storey five bay longhouse that stands within the ecclesiastical Fief de Blancheland founded in 1154AD - the Bella (as it appears now) was first mentioned in records between 1550 and 1625.

From the outset the hotel staff were all so friendly and helpful - we needed a couple more hangers when unpacking so called down to reception and they were there within minutes. The hotel and grounds were very well maintained and a joy to explore. There is a good carpark to the rear, outdoor swimming pool (for the brave) and many area's to sit and have a quiet drink. Do have a look at the pictures uploaded to get a sense of the hotel and grounds.

The rooms are very nicely decorated and come with every convenience you could wish for from bathroom toiletries to ironing board and hair dryer. There were plenty of sockets to charge phones and tablets. We found the hotel restful and slept very well. It is close to the flight path of Guernsey Airport but this was never really a problem.

If you do stay at the Bella Luce look out for Daniel and Megan - two members of staff who are an absolute credit to the hotel and the Island - they worked so hard, were always smiling and genuinely couldn't do enough to help.

A nice first walk when you arrive is to turn left out of the main entrance, follow the road down to the Moulin Huet Tea Rooms and the beach from which you can explore circular routes along the cliff top back to the hotel.

In closing, we had a wonderful time at the Bella Luce and met some lovely people. We hope you do too.
