If you are in the High Street/ harbour area and have a spare 15 minutes to spare then a visit to this Victorian shop owned by the National Trust is worthwhile as it is free to enter. This historic building displays the items that were on sale when the shop closed about 50 years ago plus a room displaying Victorian furnishings and artefacts of the family that used to own the shop. It still functions as a shop but is no longer a grocers but sells sweets and gifts (in the basement). The staff who run the shop are friendly and informative.
Thank you for taking the time to comment so accurately on what visitors can expect to find at the Victorian Shop and Parlour located very close to the town centre.
