On our golfing trip to Devon, we soon discovered that the gasto centre of excellence was Braunton not Barnstable. Tucked away in a small mall off the main street, Siam Bistro is a hidden gem. We started with a Thai mezze platter ( accompanied by their own particularly tangy sauce ) and moved on to excellent curry main course...finished off with banana fritters and ice cream. All accompanied by a good Malbec.

The restaurant is run by a very pleasant Romanian guy who told us all about his prior experience in the hotel trade in Wales before setting up this restaurant with his Thai chef partner.

We have been here a few times as we live locally. Both takeaway and eat in are fantastic. Having been to Thailand ourselves, this is definitely on par. We would highly recommend to all

A real find. I really didn't expect to find a Thai restaurant in Braunton that surpasses many Thai restaurants I frequent in London.
All the sauces for the curries are made fresh, not shop bought, by Thai chefs.
The tom yam soup was delicious. Fragrant ,fresh and spiced perfectly.
Well worth checking out this place!
