“A lovely stay with exceptional hosts”
Reviewed 17 May 2012

My husband and I stayed here recently for a couple of nights. Pam and Malc welcome you into their home as friends and their house is beautifully decorated and styled. It is very convenient for walking into town, and has the benefit of parking. I would definitely recommend staying here. It is also very good value.

There is plenty of B&B choice in Brixham and I was lucky enough to pick Trefoil, which is an absolute gem. We were staying for 2 nights and upon arrival were greeted with tea and biscuits by Pam and Malc, who are extremely welcoming. The rooms are individually decorated, and thoughtfully finished to a high standard, and were faultlessly clean. All the amenities, toiletries, towels, sheets etc were excellent quality, and the same can be said for the breakfast, right down to the fresh flowers on each table and the fact that the sausages and bacon are sourced from a specific Totnes butcher to guarantee the quality. Pam and Malc were always happy to answer our questions and we would not hesitate to return to Trefoil.

Trefoil is located on a quiet road and is a 5-10 minutes stroll from Brixham harbour, which has plenty of restaurants, pubs, take-aways to choose from. It is a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area.

I stayed in October last year when I was over from Australia to visit my Mum in a nursing home and was very happy with the accommodation and the way Pam and Malc look after theirs guests.
I was back again in April this year and nothing had changed. The accommodation is still very good and Pam and Malc still look after their guests very well indeed. I was treated, and felt, like I was a friend. I'll be staying there next time I'm back that's for sure.

Room Tip: All the rooms I stayed in are good. I particularly like number 5.

We have stayed in many B&Bs in the area and this was by far the best. We initially needed a one night stay in November and after trying five other establishments, this was the only one to accommodate us. We have since returned for a three night stay and would not go anywhere else. The welcome was like coming back to old friends and the owners could not do enough for us. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean. The breakfast menu was varied and catered for all tastes. There was fresh fruit available, yougurt and cereal as well as cooked breakfasts. The breakfast special of poached eggs on a cheese and black pepper muffin was divine! This was an immaculately presented establishment and perfect for any type of trip. We shall be returning in October and look forward to another pleasant and peaceful visit. Fully recommended.

I stayed here for three nights in November whilst on a placement in Brixham. The owners were friendly and very hospitable. I spent my stay at the B&B in two different rooms, both of which were beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. There was good choice for breakfast and the food was good quality. The B&B is a short walk to the town centre and is on a main bus route to Paignton, Torquay and Newton Abbot. Highly recommended and I would definitely stay again.
