Had a lovely meal here with friends last night. I went for the vegetarian baked aubergine dish which looked amazing but wasn’t quite as exciting taste wise as I’d hoped but then I’m not a vegetarian so perhaps my tastebuds are accustomed to stronger flavours. The kids burger meal was fantastic and a really large portion, my son really enjoyed it. My 3 adult friends went for the braided beef and the hake mains and said they were very good. Desserts: 2 of us shared the apple tart with caramel sauce. It was a small portion but absolutely divine. We had it with cream on the side. The other 2 had the chocolate brownie which was huge and reportedly lovely. We had a 9 year old and an 8 month year old with us and were well accommodated. Next time I’m definitely trying the Spanish fish stew. Sounded wonderful and have heard good reviews.

The beer was great. But crisps were £1.40 a small packet! Think hard before adding a snack should you visit!

Visited here for first time on the beer festival evening. Booked a meal beforehand. Food was excellent and staff very friendly. Great atmosphere, especially when a ‘customer’ took to the piano! Will definitely return!

We visited today and had a wonderful lunch - it was delicious and very good value for money. We weren’t rushed and enjoyed a relaxed time chilling in the window :)
