This is really a lunch place for serious foodies who appreciate fresh fish. We only called in for tea and cakes, which they did perfectly well, despite having had a really busy lunch service. The brownies were especially good. And we were able to sit out on the balcony, which was a bit of a squeeze but meant we could enjoy the heavenly view of the river and waterfront.

Wow - what a gem! Absolutely delicous fish as fresh as fresh can be, at fantastic prices. The staff were very friendly and the view over the River Dart is just lovely. The problem you may find is getting in - so book a table in advance like we did (on the balcony if it's sunny) and enjoy your meal (watching those that didn't book being turned away or offered later times!) So glad we ate here.

There's no denying that this little gem has a wonderful setting and view. However, it's the delicious fresh fish dishes and friendly service that made our visit so special. A fantastic opportunity to try Devon's food and drink options. Whatever you order, make sure you ask for a portion of their amazing homemade tartare sauce!!!

An excellent lunchtime spot best approached from the river via the Dittisham Ferry from Dartmouth, it stops outside with a short walk along the gang plank.
How nice to be greeted by happy smiling staff and a manager who obviously knows that first impressions count. We had a table for 2 at the front of the covered area with a great view of the River Dart and Greenways (Agatha Christie).
This is primarily a fish restaurant and they do it well. I had cracked spider crab, a beast large enough to cover the plate and standing guard over smoked fish, mussels, calamari
and scallop supported by a generous salad and bread. My partner opted for the haddock and chips, this was once a very large haddock and the fillet overhung the plate by 25% at least. Both meals were generous and good tasting. After a rest, we agreed to share sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream and ice cream, another generous portion sitting a sea of toffee sauce, definitely a sharing dish. The local Devon wine was a lovely surprise in terms of taste and palate.
All in all this is worth a visit, the portions are large and the service is god.
I forgot to mention, it poured with rain the whole time, hardly noticed it until waiting for the ferry back.

We sat at the front over looking the river Dart and the quay at Greenway House. Everything is caught fresh in the morning and delivered to the pontoon outside of the resturant. Because of this their menu is on a blackboard and once its all gone, its gone. You cant get fresher then this.
