“Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location - will be coming again”
Reviewed January 11, 2014 for a stay in September 2013

Came here for a quiet, stress-free honeymoon and got exactly what we wanted. Very comfortable, everything we needed was there, including a couple of things in the fridge fresh from the farm. Really well-done-up cottage with nice personal touches. Beautiful countryside with long or short walks around. Sarah lives next door and regularly checked in to check we had everything we needed, but in no way intruded on our privacy. Had slight problems getting the DVD player to work but Sarah was very helpful, immediately offering to buy a new one, though we worked out quite quickly we'd been using it wrong. Ordered a very good curry one night. Perfect summer sun was not included in the contract but an added bonus. Great both for romantic getaways and with children, as there are chickens at the bottom of the garden (fresh eggs for breakfast!) and the farm is next door. Overall, would heartily recommend.

“We can't wait to go back”
Reviewed January 2, 2014 for a stay in September 2013

Beautiful cottage that is really well appointed. Great instruction manual for the heating etc. We couldn't have been given a warmer welcome and the scenery was idyllic. We had a great time looking after the chickens and collecting the delicious eggs. Feeding the pigs was very entertaining as was meeting Whistle the dog. It was a great location to pop to many of the nearby towns and it was always wonderful to get back to our temporary home. I'm already trying to think of excuses to go back for another stay. Although we didn't have any children with us there were enough toys and games around to easily keep them entertained for hours.

“A delightful cottage in a beautiful location”
Reviewed November 12, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

You will receive a warm welcome from Sarah and the hens!
The hens will provide you with fresh eggs for your cooked breakfast everyday!
Nothing is too much trouble for Sarah. You will find she has baked you a delicious sponge cake as part of your welcome hamper!
The cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated.
It is v.relaxing and peaceful to be there. The garden and view over the valley are delightful.

“Amazing cottage and service.... Would highly recommend”
Reviewed November 10, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We stayed in this gorgeous little cottage in October. The cottage is kept so clean and homely. We ordered a breakfast hamper and the food selection was fantastic. The price for the cottage was very reasonable and feeding the chickens every morning was fun. Already trying to work out our second visit.

Highly recommended - stayed at the beautiful Windover Cottage and had a great weekend. The cottage was amazing and on arrival Sarah had provided the most yummy cake which was really nice. The twins loved feeding the hens and looking for eggs every morning and they had a huge garden to play in and Sarah even had outdoor toys for them to play with. A fantastic stay from start to finish. Thank you to Sarah and family.

“Fabulous Holiday”
Reviewed November 9, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

we had a fantastic week at Windover Cottage, we were made very welcome by Sarah and her family. The children loved the chickens and puppies and were out of bed early every day to see them. The cottage was very comfortable, one of the best we have stayed in. It was great waking up every morning to the sound of the country. We will be back!!
