Comfortable, warm accommodation, breakfast was nicely presented, and our evening meal in the charming and atmospheric pub / restaurant was superb! Located just ten minutes stroll from Slapton Sands itself, this is the ideal base to visit the lovely South Hams area including Dartmouth, Totnes, and Kingsbridge. Highly recommended. Well behaved dogs are also welcome.

We went for a drive "Along the line " as locals say and popped into this charming little pup for lunch, We have 2 dogs and were pleased that they were welcome too.The atmosphere was great and the food was absolutelydelicious. We live in Brixham Torbay and the drive along the coast was spectaculor too. We will certainly be doing it again, and again!

Stayed one night (Room 1) as a single occupier (late 50's) walikng the South West Coast Path. Quaint location (tho extremely narrow entrance to car park), the room was clean, comfortable, well apponted, decent bathroom, and the breakfast was excellent and extremely good quality. Friendly welcome and would recommend wholeheartedly....would definately stay again if in the area.

Room Tip: The rooms are not in the main part of the Inn and have seperate access and quietly located. Can only...

We have dined here twice now and can say that the surroundings are very nice and comfortable.
The food is excellently cooked and presented.
Has that something different on offer compared to other eating establishments.
Staff are very attentive but not intrusive.
Wine list has plenty of choice to suit all tastes and budget.
The place itself is set in beautiful countryside/coastline.
Would strongly recommend this restaurant.
Already getting time off work to go back again.

Room Tip: if you are driving from the beach i would advise driving past the entrance and turn around as the co...

This is a copy of my email to the owners and staff, shortly after we returned home to Cornwall. I think my words perfectly sum up what you will experience if you decide to visit 'The Tower Inn'. Just to quickly add, we noticed that the 'Inn' is dog friendly, which to us created a much more relaxed and fun attitude to the evening.

" To the owners and staff who looked after us on Wednesday evening
(16th Nov).

Thankyou all very much for your friendly service, fantastic healthy
properly cooked delicious food, and a great atmosphere.

The only down side is that we do not live closer so we could come
back again and again.

We were on the table to the left as you enter the main door, we asked
lots of questions on the history of the tower (there were 4 of us). I cannot
fault anything you did said or gave to us.

Our intension is to return and maybe stay the night, which will be
even better.

With kind regards and thanks "

We visited the Tower pub yesterday to celebrate my parents 53rd wedding anniversary and we were so pleased that we did. The welcome that we received from the young barman was so friendly and the choice of food on the lunchtime menu was excellent. Some of us chose to have the stovie which was delicious, as were the thai fish cakes. The pub has a large amount of character and the staff and food make this a special place to visit. We will definatly come back again when we are in the area.
It is up a narrow lane that is very tight, but it is possible to park in the village and walk up the short lane to it.
