“Rose Cottage - A Hidden Gem”

Thank you Piers and Sue for a wonderful holiday. Exceptional, well appointed and very clean accommodation that has been renovated to a very high standard with quality internal fixtures and fittings but still retaining charm and character. Lovely setting with a private garden and BBQ, that we made good use of thanks to the glorious weather.
Ideally situated for exploring the beautiful South Hams countryside. During the week we visited Beesands, Start Point, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe - all a short drive/walk away and well worth a visit. Also handy for visiting Totnes, with its interesting small independent shops.
Good local eating at The Church House and Tradesmans Arms in Stokenham. A little further afield, The Watermans Arms at Bow Bridge near Totnes is worth a visit for its location, we sat and had an excellent meal next to the creek.
We would thoroughly recommend Rose Cottage for a couples holiday and look forward to returning.

“ideal cottage for a relaxing break”

We stayed in Rose Cottage for a week in June and it surpassed our expectations. The location is great; very quiet and relaxing but not far from Kingsbridge or the many surrounding villages, pubs and beaches. Not that you really need to leave the cottage all that often as the cottage is well kitted out.The owners were very welcoming and helpful and we would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a relaxing break in the South Hams.

This is a truely relaxing spot for a holiday - the cottage is excellently kitted out. The owners are always on hand for any help or information you need. A real home from home feel with your own garden to relax in at the end of the day. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

“Gorgeous, high spec barn in spectacular South Hams countryside”
Reviewed June 3, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We loved it here (really, really loved it). Where to start....Our hosts were absolutely great, never obtrusive but always there if you needed them, or needed to pick their brains about where to go etc. The barn itself is beautifully finished and cleverly designed. The use of space is well thought out; it's much bigger than it looks on the website which doesn't do enough justice to the private courtyard and little garden where we made good use of the BBQ. The bathrooms are high spec, as is the kitchen. There is lashings of hot water and a washing machine/dryer, wood burner etc so if the weather wasn't great, it would be exceptionally comfortable; we had great weather and explored the countryside every day (top tips: go to Britannia @ The Beach - just go, a lovely evening and within stomping distance). Too many other fantastic places to mention. The area is magical. Our six year old loved the rocking horse and trampoline and the little dog (Jack). We bought the bacon and sausages made on site (delicious) and Emma would go to the barn each day to pick the fresh eggs. We go to Devon each year and we normally stay at South Sands and didn't think we would ever enjoy anywhere else quite so much, but this was one of our best holidays and the Barn at Cotmore Farm has a lot to do with that. Thank you, Piers and Sue.
