“Cosy cottage in ideal location!”

We stayed for one week in October. The welcome was warm and the hosts provided a generous useful hamper of goodies. The cottage was perfectly proportioned for two, with excellent amenities and ambience, the log burning fire was amazing. We brought our two dogs, the garden was a secluded, safe space for them. Beesands was only one mile away, excellent for dog walking and beach fishing. The coastal walks were very accessible and there were absolutely stunning views. We were located very conveniently for Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Totnes and Brixham, all of which were visited and enjoyed.

“Extremely well appointed cottage with lovely private garden”

We had an enjoyable week at Rose Cottage. We found the cottage very comfortable and extremely well appointed. The location is excellent for touring the South Hams. We used it as a base to explore the coastline from Plymouth to Brixham. We particularly enjoyed walking into Dartmouth along the coast path and the National Trust property and gardens at Coleton Fishacre.

Piers and Sue made us most welcome we had a lovely holiday at rose cottage set in the beautiful south devon countryside .The accommodation was excellent and we were provided with all home comforts .My wife and I had a lovely time exploring the wonderful coastline and enjoyed sampling local food in the pubs and restaurants. We found Cotmore Farm to be an ideal base and in an idyllic setting surrounded by lovely views. We were able to explore the farm and collect eggs from the hen house and also make friends with the other animals. Our holiday overall was very enjoyable and we are sure to visit again.

We have rarely stayed at such a beautifully presented and well equipped cottage. Piers and Sue made us very welcome. Great location for exploring the surrounding area and the amazing variety of birds in Rose Cottage garden was astounding. We were given good advice on places to eat out and were not disappointed. Plenty of fish caught on Torcross beach and Piers and Sue enjoyed the spoils. Highly recommend.

“Excellent accommodation, shame about the weather!”

The accommodation and setting were excellent and the cottage facilities provided everything I needed and more. I didn't even try the oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer as, while enjoying long walks, I usually try to fit in a pub/café lunch. This was easy in the surrounding area as there are many high quality dining facilities, some within a couple of miles of the cottage. I was very grateful for the log burner in the cottage if only to cheer up a couple of very damp evenings - it wasn't needed for warmth but the weather was appalling on a couple of evenings and it created a cheery glow. The coastal path provides some breathtaking views, particularly around Start Point and, for the wet days, there were undercover places to visit worth the trip.
