This place is one not to be missed!! We visited twice when we were down on our holiday staying at Twitchen House. The cakes are some of the best I’ve had! And the cream tea is delicious (I’d just like a little more cream but I’m greedy!) the staff are lovely and friendly and it’s really kiddy friendly with a basket of books and happy to have our noisy daughter there!
I had the courgette and lime cake which was heavenly! My hubby also had the millionaires shortbread which was delicious. We are back down in Woolacombe next year and will be sure to visit here at least once or twice!!

We have been coming to Mortehoe for over 30 years but the change in this place is amazing - we loved it! Good coffee and cake. Went to a great gin tasting evening on Friday! Great atmosphere, very pleasant owners and delicious meat and cheese platters. On the list for our next visit!

We visited after our friends recommended we tried the cake here. We ordered a slice of carrot, lemon drizzle and coffee cake...all of which were utterly delicious. The owners seemed very friendly and were particularly accommodating when we arrived after closing. They kindly served us still and put our cake in take away boxes for us to enjoy. It's the best I think I've ever tasted and I've tried a lot of different cakes. Lovely and moist but incredibly light. I'd love to be able to bake like this.

This place has been one of the highlights of our trip. A very well presented tea room with an enclosed sun-terrace at the rear.
We booked afternoon tea and were a little surprised to be asked for a deposit. They explained that it was made to order and no-shows were a problem.
The quality of what we received was exceptional. A fresh and varied selection of food. Attentive service from the owners.
We then decided to take a gin tasting from the menu. This really was a surprise. The menu ranged; Normal-Mid-Top quality. The choice in each section would make a lot of so-called gin-bars envious.
Well worth the money. Well worth a visit.

Booked for an afternoon tea and what a delight! Beautiful sandwiches, scones and cake all baked fresh by Stacey
We then wandered out on to their lovely terrace and had a gin tasting with lots of advice and knowledge from Will. Three levels of gins to choose from and he really knows his stuff!! Very reasonably priced too
Super afternoon with this lovely, friendly couple who can't do enough for you
Oh, and they have rooms too!
