Popular Mortehoe Pub.
On a sunny day the terrace is very soon full and people sitting on the wall enjoying a drink & waiting to dive into the first available seats.

Good pub food, lovely friendly service, free car park about 5 mins drive from Watersmeet Hotel and just down the road from Woolacombe.

We visited here on our holiday in July 2018. The food was average and I believe overpriced. A bog standard steak dinner for £20. The steak was overcooked for all 3 people who ordered steaks. The child's burger was a cheap frozen grillsteak and again overcooked. The puddings were on the other hand absolutely lovely and that's why I've given them 3 stars. Nice little pub but very hot. Doesn't seem to be any fans or aircon and with it being a confined space it makes it very stuffy.

We ate here twice during a holiday once at lunch and once in the evening

As always the staff are very friendly and the food tastes homecooked and is excellent value for money.

We have been coming to Mortehoe a long time now, used to frequent the other pub in the village more, but this one is our favourite now, very friendly staff, never feel as if you are being pushed out at the end of the night. The garden is lovely, especially if you wanted some time out of the sun.
Not being a football fan, they don't overload you with TV's, they were on, but you could get away from them.
The only thing I would say, although the food is lovely, the menu has changed a little. We would like more food like Chillies and you used to do a lovely chicken curry, sausage and mash, simple food, we felt as if there wasn't enough choice as in past years.
But don't change the friendliness of this place.
