“Nice butt need attention”
Reviewed April 24, 2018 for a stay in March 2018

The property was very comfortable, warm and clean. It did indeed have a cosy feel as its name suggested.

The shower rooms were great once the one attached to the double bedroom had been unblocked.

The kitchen was well appointed although the toaster is probably past its best and could do with being replaced.

Recycling and bin management became a real issue. The separate bins under the sink for rubbish, food recycling and general recycling are small and we needed extra bags to be able to manage them. We went out and bought our own. There did not appear to be any instructions about where to deposit the various types of rubbish and whilst we did our best we suspect we probably put the wrong type of rubbish in the wrong bins.

It would have been really helpful to have had a few more cleaning materials in the property. A mop and bucket for instance - we had a spill and needed to clean it up and had to resort to kitchen roll which we had brought with us.

There are a few other things in the property that could do with some attention:

The light on the hob extractor does not appear to be working.
One of the lamps in the twin bedroom did not work and the other had a loose light fitting which we did our best to tighten up.
The door handle on the double bedroom is loose.
It would be helpful to have instructions for the Sonos System. We downloaded the app and managed to get the radio to work but could not play our music through it. We use Amazon Music downloaded onto an iPad in case this is helpful.
Finally, we were disappointed with the outdoor areas:

We had thought that we would be able to see the Teign Estuary from the property as described on both your website and the owners website. We were sad we could not do this.
The parking area and flat bit of the garden was flooded due to water draining onto the land although the owner did find somewhere else for us to park.
The seating area was not very tidy and the dead plant and weeds not very inviting.
The seats outside were not very comfortable, Some cushions would have been helpful. There was no gas barbecue available. (Maybe these were in the shed which looked shut up for the winter and was difficult to get to because the path was flooded.)
We have two small dogs and had booked this property thinking that the garden was enclosed. We recognise now that in fact your website does not say this although the owners site does say this.
