Excellent food served in traditional surroundings, friendly staff and great value for money. I can thoroughly recommend the Duo of Trout and the Beef Wellington. Would definitely go again.

Live locally but haven't visited this pub despite recommendations from friends. Went for a meal with my wife. There are a good selection of beers and ciders. Was a good meal and reasonably priced with adequate portions. There was a friendly atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. It does get busy and it is worth booking to save disappointment. Will visit again.

We missed out on the restaurant which was packed with an event at the weekend but the food going in there looked impressive so we opted for a basic bar snack, and it was very basic, not a great choice and served up in a pint pot, nevertheless it is a true English country pub and special in its own charming way.
