Description: The Red Barn is a Restaurant & Bar overlooking Woolacombe Beach, with seating indoors and out. We are open all year around and serve home made food all day every day, along with hot drinks, cakes and snacks. The Red Barn is popular dining establishment with families and surfers, locals and tourists; a recent refurbishment has ensured that the Barn remains the prime destination for food, beer, wine & cocktails in Woolacombe!

We visited the Red Barn a few times during our stay in Woolacombe, a couple of times for drinks and once for dinner. Found the staff there to be friendly and welcoming. Particularly liked the fact that they are efficient with clearing of tables, constantly taking glasses and wiping the tables down.
The food we had was really nice - gammon and chips and nachos - both good portion size and tasty! No complaints at all for pub grub style food.

Can’t comment on the food quality as didn’t stay long enough to eat. Came in as a family at lunchtime. Place was fairly quiet considering the amount of staff so service should have been quick and good. Every member of staff looked thoroughly miserable and walked around like zombies - slow and depressed with hunched shoulders. Had to order drinks in one queue and food in another. Neither would service the other side so would have to queue twice. Food order side was busy and drink order side empty but staff stood around looking bored instead of helping to clear the queue. No one smiled at us or greeted us or offered to help or even ask why we were leaving! Staff attitude sucked and we were not going to stay and give them our business. Will not return as plenty other businesses in the area who understand the meaning of service.

Visited the Red Barn for breakfast today after a fantastic dog walk on Woolacombe beach. The breakfast was pretty good and reasonably priced but as in all my previous visits the ordering and paying system is totally inadequate for the amount of customers.
I had to queue for over ten minutes as there is only one till and one person serving and also preparing the hot drinks even though there was a lot of staff standing around doing very little ! Please invest in another coffee machine and till as it is obvious there is enough staff to provide a better service to it's paying customers 😕
