“Exactly what it says on the pot”
Reviewed July 1, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

An excellent place for a week's break. All mod cons supplied including a small hamper to start you off (although the orange juice was missing) and well equipped with all home comforts. We would certainly go again.

Reviewed June 15, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

A lovely property in a perfect location. Symondsbury is the perfect tonic to busy life in london. Quiet and peaceful with the beach just a short drive away. The cottage was very well equipped with a large bedroom and bathroom. We ate in every night making the most of the quaint garden at the back of the property. The only downside being that the garden does not get much sun

“my perfect cottage”
Reviewed May 29, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Great location - can walk into all the attractions of Bridport (market, arts centre, independent shops, restaurants), but also five minutes outside the door is Colmore Hill, which I climbed most mornings. Very peaceful, but convenient.

One very large bedroom with a huge bed and views to the front over the old Post office and a field with horses, and to the back over the pretty courtyard garden, visited by local birds. Superb bathroom with deep bath, dressing gowns provided. Downstairs, everything you could want and more in the kitchen. Superb provisions basket provided. Lovely inglenook fireplace in the lounge with wood burning stove and bread oven (oven not in use!). I cannot think of any minus points. Dorset beautiful as always. Looking forward to a return.

Liked best: location and general ambience
Liked least: difficult for two people to cook in the kitchen at the same time, but that wasn't really a problem

“Fabulous cottage”
Reviewed March 23, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This cottage was way beyond my expectations. Everything is to a very high spec and spotlessly clean. They appear to have thought of everything including bathrobes. The cottage was wonderfully warm to come back to in the evening and a tiny very pretty garden with places to sit.
The village is a beautiful and everyone is so friendly. Unfortunately I didn't visit the Cafe but I did visit the shop which was very well stocked with extremely helpful assistants. A great place to relax in and to appreciate the peace and beauty of an English village but still very accessible.

“Very comfortable stay”
Reviewed March 16, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

A very nice cottage recently converted to a high standard. Ideal for two people. There is a pub in the village also a tea room, general store, and hair dresser nearby.
Sidmouth, Lyme Regis, Dorchester, Poole are all within 1 hours drive.

“Great cottage in an ideal location”
Reviewed March 9, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This cottage has everything you need for a great holiday - excellent facilities in a lovely picturesque location close to the places you will want to visit -Lyme regis, Bridport, West Bay. With the new Symondsbury kitchen we also treated ourselves to a couple of breakfasts which were also lovely and obviously went on a number of walks round the stunning village. Highly recommended.
