“Perfection!!!!”
Reviewed March 17, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

A big group of us stayed at this property for 3 nights in March. We found the House really homely, nicely decorated throughout with great facilities and very comfy beds.
The view from the garden was amazing and the location is very peaceful.
The owners were really nice and helpful and although they stayed next door, they weren’t intrusive at all. They even laid on some bread, eggs and bacon and put some other nice things in the fridge. It was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this cottage to my friends and family.

“Generous accommodation in a lovely setting”
Reviewed March 1, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

The house was very well sized, with good bedrooms, the right number of bathrooms and excellent living spaces. We were a group of 14 friends including 10 adults, 3 young children and 1 baby - the mix of spaces worked very well.
The house was well equipped and in a lovely location. Although the weather was poor when we were there the size of living spaces meant that we were able to stay inside without feeling cramped.
The owner refunded the full deposit without question.

“Its all about The View”
Reviewed October 3, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Great Old Farmhouse. Ideal for large groups offering extensive accomodation, all rooms are a fabulous size. We didnt feel on top of each other. All 17 of us managed to get around the large wooden table to eat! Its not luxurious, its a rural rustic Farmhouse. The Large Lounge is fantastic, But somewhat cold. It has a fab fireplace, which we lit, but unfortunately a westerly wind prevailed, and we got smoked out, eyes watering, and stinking of smoke,9 which did effect the guests in the down stairs bedroom as the door to it is Off of this lounge..
The friendly owners are next door, and only too happy to help if needed. Provided us with a gorgeous cream tea..
It is in the sticks, and quite remotely placed, which was rather hard to find initially!!! but for us the location is idyllic, rolling hills, and distant views of the sea.
Perhaps a few tweeks needed here and there. But generally a great place to stay, and would go back.

Hi, Thankyou for the review. It's great that the 17 of you squeezed around the dining table, so it's very comfortable for the 14 advertised. We are very pleased to say that a benefit of a recent storm has meant that we had to do some work on the chimney. The fireplace has coped with the recent storms with wind in most directions so I am confident it is no longer smoking. So in conjunction with the 4 radiators all rooms can be very snug in the farmhouse. We have also modified our directions document that we send guests and put a sign on the crucial corner. Hope to see you again Eddie

“A great holiday let for a large family group.”
Reviewed August 9, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We loved Northend farmhouse. On arriving we found a generous welcome pack sourced from the local farmshop. The accomodation was spacious and the kitchen was very well equipped which made for easy self catering. The dining room was larger than it looked on the picture, and there was a table outside. The sitting room is very large. The owner showed us round the microbrewery in the grounds. The property was ideal for our adult family group.

“A peaceful rural retreat”
Reviewed July 28, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Northend is a lovely old thatched farmhouse sitting at the end of a small country road in a true rural setting. The farmhouse is about one mile from Chideok which is a lovely village (a pity about the A35 though) and the local pub, the George offers good food. The farmhouse is spacious and comfortable. We were a group of 10 and the dining table comfortably accommodated us all with room to spare. Wifi was fine, some clear and simple instructions on how to work the TVs would have been helpful. Lyme Regis, Seatown, Beer, Seaton,West Bay and Bridport are all very close. Dorchester, Abbotsbury and Chessil Beach are also within striking distance and they are all worth a visit. The coastal path offers great walks with stunning views. The weather was reasonable during our stay and we were able to do lots of walking and sightseeing. Northend Farm is well placed for both. We enjoyed our stay at the farm and have no regrets about booking it for our holiday

“Lovely family holiday.”
Reviewed June 7, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We spent a week at the farm. We were 12 in total and a dog. This is a quaint thatched cottage with lovely views. It is a peaceful area with garden fenced off which was ideal for the kids and dog. There was lots of space for everyone. We enjoyed lovely BBQs in the evening. We were greeted with an enjoyable cream tea on arrival. We would definitely go back.

“Beautiful spot and great home to spend time indoors and out”
Reviewed May 12, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Just had a great weekend with 10 of us - loads of space to hang out while the weather turned bad... snooker table and fire places to keep us warm and entertained. Then some great walks down to the coast to drink local ales and eat seafood. had some great meals around the huge table and good cooking on the aga or the electric oven. Eddie was a great host. Thanks, C
